This convention was a blast! I learned so much and definitely became a better dancer!

2020 update: Still the all-time favorite of my dancer...and me! The Vancouver Monsters January event never disappoints. 2016:Love Monsters. Excellent venue. Instructors are awesome, the kids have a blast and come away feeling confident and learn a lot. The overall feeling of the convention is very laid back and comfortable for all ages. Very valuable experience for any hip hopper.

Our absolute favorite thing in the entire world to do! We have been going for 5 years now & will continue to go until my daughter graduates & will probably still go after that! We are always completely taken in by all the talent that is just walking around Monsters. The showcase is always AMAZING! Then the merchandise that is there OMG! It\'s become a holiday in our family.

LOVED IT!!!!! My daughter and I had so much fun. We had a great time and my daughter learned so much. We went to the Vancouver,WA event and the staff was great, everyone was so helpful and friendly. There was such a huge talent with all of the choreographers that were there. As a parent I had so much fun too and couldn\'t stop dancing after the event. My daughter adores all of the choreographers that were there and it was great for her to meet all of these choreographers in person. She was ecstatic to work with and meet NappyTabs in person. The other great talents she was able to work with Kevin Maher, Bryan Tanaka, Laura Edwards, Nick DeMoura, Gerran Reese, Lissette Bustamante, and Marty Kudelka. We would definitely do again.

Best hip hop convention ever!!!! Never a dull moment and the kids LOVED every minute of it. It has a great, upbeat staff!!

Soooooooo much fun! It was a great experience for our studio as a whole. It was well worth the trip!

I\'ve been to monsters twice, and if you are a hip hop dancer it is great. If you are more lyrical/ballet based, you obviously wouldn\'t do it, but I had to go because it was mandatory for my company. I definitely learned a lot though! Some of the faculty was good but some were just ok. Nappytabs was by far my favorite!

Very good Hip Hop teachers at this one. Very cutting edge. If you like Hip Hop this would be a good one for you.

GO TO this convention for HIP HOP! Every student loves to go to this one, even if it is not mandatory for the students. My daughter went to this for the first time out of town last weekend, and will definately be going to the next one in Dallas. If you want to improve and see different styles of Hip Hop you will come out of this convention on the next level( I know my daughter did). The show is so fun for the audience. Observers will not be bored watching the whole weekend. Only low point is too many students and you must be at a high level of dance to win a scholorship(very few given). Could use more specialized awards.

My teen adores this convention! It is very positive and unique! Highly recommend to any dancer! Do not miss the showcase. The hostess is hysterical! Parent battles are awesome to watch too.

Love the Monsters Dance conventions. Even though these conventions are a little more costly, I\'ve found that they are well worth it with two full days of classes, and the teachers/choreographers that come to teach. The teachers are willing to help you, and they are really good. I hope that monsters continue to come to the Boston area so I can continue to attend.
