Scam scam scam scam if I wanna lose money come here jk u can\'t I think they closed

We attended Hollywood three years ago. When we won\'t it was ok.vtge staff was friendly . The competition and convention ran really late we were there until midnight..besides that it was ok. Heard they closed there business
They will go down in comp history as one of the worst that has ever been. Stole money, ran away, and now are out of business. Good riddance.
Liked it. Judges clearly and was fair.
We still haven\'t received refunds from an event canceled over a year ago.
ZERO STARS. Rey Barcena, owner of iHollywood, cancelled the Chicago 2013 convention, and did not refund the money!
I\'ve heard the TALK but my son really enjoyed it!!!
I\'ve heard the gossip, but we had a really good time at iHollywood. The classes and judges remarks were good, the show ran smoothly and we would go back in a heartbeat.
Not a good experience from start to finish. Don\'t get me started.
So bad i can´t give 0s tars because this is the most desorganizated and uncaring convetion ever!! I was going to attent to thheir nationals one day before i got the mail with the information of what i must bring for every class and about rehersal for the closing show and basically everything then next morning we drove 2 hours to get to the the venue when we get therre there´s nothing and the one of the hotel workers told us that there was a problem and that nothing would be happenning that day I tried to call all day long and no one would answer next day i call and they said the event was still on hold(by this time i was alredy expecting a refund). On the third day i got information that they actually began on monday night. So all my money was thrown to trash 500 dolars for convention and then 700 dolars for my airplane ticket. A million months later still no anwers from them!!
We still have not received refunds from the convention and competition iHollywood canceled in Chicago. It has been over 6 months. No communication at all. Their website says that they will be back soon. I certainly hope that when they \"return\" they deal with the fact that they owe hundreds of dancers refunds for an event that never happened!
IHollywood came to our town a couple of years ago. We attended because we liked Desiree Robbins, but she left early, missing the second day. There weren't many kids there, so they would pull all the kids on stage, and give out awards to a few, leaving the others standing there humiliated. The worst was the teen/senior room. There were only 4 kids, they all went onstage, 3 were praised and 1 was ignored... Humiliated. The staff was very much into themselves. Not a good experience.
ZERO STARS. Rey Barcena and his iHollywood scam convention have not refunded any of the Chicago studios that entered in March 2013. IHollywood cancelled the Chicago convention AND KEPT ALL THE MONEY. This comp has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from dance students and dance teachers! IHollywood doesnt pay their teachers, either! Don't give iHollywood your hard-earned money because there are plenty of legit conventions out there!
Attended iHollywood week recently. Came to take from amazing teachers and watch my daughter perform in a great final show - and truthfully, that\'s what we got. There were some bumps in the road- and the schedule was a bit fluid but nothing to write home about. Not sure what is going on with the owner, but there was plenty of staff there pitching in, helping out, addressing any concerns, and keeping it a positive experience. The teachers have always been what makes this convention so special - and they did not disappoint this year at all! Hope to see this continue into 2014.
I also rated iHollywood 3 months ago after our studio had signed up to attend their Convention/Competition in Chicago. We were initially alerted that something might not be right when iHollywood would not return phone calls to let us know the venue just weeks prior to the competition- we were traveling from out of town and needed to book hotels. They then changed the date to a date that we could not attend. We requested a refund in February. It is now July. We have received virtually NO response as to when to expect refunds. We have emailed, left messages, sent letters, posted on Facebook, sent Twitter messages- everything we can think of and have received no information about refunds. iHollywood continued to have events after Chicago blatently ignoring the hundreds of dancers and studios they had scammed out of thousands of dollars. It is terrible that they have gotten away with this! As of this week their website is no longer working and their phone has been disconnected. I hope they don\'t try to come back under a new name to scam more innocent dancers and studios. There are no acceptable excuses at this point as there has been NO COMMUNICATION. Horrible!!!
I rated I Hollywood 3 months ago. I was hoping to be able to rate again with some good news that the Chicago situation was taken care of . UNFORTUNATELY this is not the case. I am a studio owner and I fronted the money for the Chicago convention/competition in the amount of $24,000!!! I was promised by Rey that my money would be refunded (that was on feb 13th) when it was clear that the Chicago event was not going to happen. Since then there has been numerous phone calls, emails, letters etc with absolutely no response from Rey or any I Hollywood staff. I am happy that some of you have had a good experience but this is not the case for me. I paid my fees in good faith and this money was to be for summer expenses. How an organization can not make this situation right is beyond me!!! I don\'t know about other people but this is a lot of money and I am sickened by the fact that Rey feels this does not have to be paid back.
So sorry for the Chicago situation! Hope you work through it soon. We have had fun at your events before.
I am here with my daughter at Hollywood week, and it\'s true, there have been serious organizational problems. But I just want it on record, that the teachers that are here, particularly Mikey, but also Melody, Stacy, Nathan, Alex, Ashley, Marguerite, Eric, Jimmy, Reed, and whoever else is coming, are going above and beyond to salvage the week for the kids, and I really appreciate it. My daughter learned some fantastic choreography today, and that\'s what we\'re here for. On the one hand, this has been a frustrating experience. On the other hand, it\'s been a heartwarming example of teachers, studio owners, and some intrepid dance parents making lemonade out of lemons, and doing it all for the kids.
This has not been a very good experience.

We intend on bringing our studio to iHollywood Week, as we have done for several years now. Clearly - we are sorry to hear what happened in Chicago although it seems to be isolated, as Tulsa went on as scheduled. it\'s extremely disappointing although not surprising to see how Ricky chooses to conduct himself in this matter. iHollywood continues to be our students\' favorite way to close out their year.

To nydm911 and the rest calling the Midwest dance parents cyber bullies. Please put yourself in their shoes. The comp/convention was cancelled and $270,000 has been taken and not returned to them. They r not getting any response and now have to sue. However, our studio has had no problem in communication because we were about to turn over a ton of money for their hollywood week. We r starting to reconsider and now are finding out that convention teachers are not being paid and not showing up. We are grateful to the dance community to alerting the rest of us about what is clearly a mismanaged competition. The Tulsa event right after Chicago shows that it was canceled on the Tulsa convention center website however on ihollywood it says they had a great week. So not sure what is going on there. There were 2 other regionals that still have a tba status. Please continue to share info on this site. Our studio is trying to gather info and make a decision about attending. This stinks because some of us have plane tickets and vacations planned around this event. Please keep on sharing and if at all possible, let us know the name of your studios in the Chicago area. Our director would love to talk with a studio with what happened. At this point, if we do decide (highly unlikely) we would not turn over a dime until we are at the convention and see that it is legit.
Took our students to iHollywood San Jose (San Francisco) recently. Fantastic and seamless experience. Got nothing but good to say about this comp!!!
We have attended the Dallas Regional for the last 2 years. Really sad to see all the negative posts. We had an amazing experience and my daughter will attend again next year.
You \"supporters\" should probably check out Ricky\'s facebook. It looks like those folks from the midwest aren\'t so crazy after all......the FACULTY is suing ihollywood. Update: it\'s JULY and we have heard nothing from these cowards. Luckily many more teachers have piled onto the lawsuits!
Noticed this ihollywood thread and began to read! Was going to leave a positive post and still am!.. i don\'t usually comment, give my two cents, Ect. But . I must stand up for the victims of cyber bullies! I believed children and teens were the bullies of other children and teens but reading how this thread started I am shocked and appalled of the so called \"adult\"bullies on here! Who in their right mind and with sound mind thinks that talking mess about a convention, dance studio, competition Ect. on a site trying to get others to do the same is a good idea? Trash talking, throwing people under the bus, hatred, anger, threats, destructive, hurtful Ect. Behavior is a bullying tactic! This guy Rey who I\'ve met a few times and his Ihollywood crew/staff/teachers have been so cool! I have been to other comps/ conventions and IHollywood for me has been the most personable and the most fun! I see it says he hasn\'t paid back the people from a convention that was less than a month ago? Geez lets slander him why don\'t we? Lets hang him? What other cruel things are you planning to do with him? I know I would expect payment back too and yes I may be a little upset because I haven\'t gotten a response but dang it\'s been less than 30 days! I know ihollywood had other conventions after the Chicago one right? And I know ihollywood is scheduled and set for summer! Doesn\'t sound like a guy who is trying to stiff his clients and run away with all your money? I haven\'t called Rey or ihollywood but I know a few people who have recently and they have actually spoken to Rey himself??? So this\" not getting a response\" hmmm makes me wonder how or why he isn\'t answering the phone when you call or email? Someone that starts a slanderous thread about another person seems like a person I want to talk to..Not! Something to keep in mind! He that is keeping his mouth and his tongue is keeping his soul from distresses” is a warning against thoughtless, loose, or idle talk.. Think b4 you type!
People in Indiana. Please be patient. We had another Competition cancel due to low enrollment and we are waiting for refund. As far as phone calls. It sounds like Rey did answer the phone initially. But this is borderline harassment. He probably avoids Indiana like the plague. I suspect you are sending hate mail as well. I recently tried to reach the biggest convention company and it took 3 weeks, they were on the road and busy. If i were a convention I Would avoid your area We love iHollywood. The faculty is incredible. Our parents are well cared for. The critiques are very helpful and the company members are welcoming.
Settle down folks!!! Are ya\'ll from one studio sitting around a computer ganging up on iHollywood Dance?!! You know, you guys are going to make it so no convention/competition company will ever want to come to Indiana, or Chicago for that matter!! We did iHollywood in Detroit and it was the bomb. Relax! I\'ve been doing this for 30 years!! It\'s a fact of life. Comps get canceled. The companies usually have a very good reason for canceling. And I\'ve had plently of events cancel over the years. Yeah, I know it\'s frustrating but it\'s time to move on. And guess what? It\'s normal to take 30 days to get refunded. It\'s equivilant to a billing cycle... Chill-out! There\'s no reason to trash a perfectly good company. I\'ve never had a problem with them. In fact, my kids loved it and we will go back next time. Just because you are not happy right this minute, don\'t try to destroy a company\'s reputation! It\'s just not cool.
This year was the first time our studio went to IHollywood. It was so much fun for everyone!! IHollywood brought so much talent from L.A. and they were all so down-to-earth! The kids loved it! The entire weekend was very well organized and packed with classes and friendly happy faces! By comparison to other larger conventions our studio attends, IHollywood had much more to offer for the same price. We will definitely attend next year\'s event!

Thank you for stopping this nonsense. At this time, please feel free to take this opportunity and remove your defamatory comments.
Been competing and going to convention for five years now. There is nothing out there like iHollywood. It has been the best dance experience of my daughter\'s young life. This summer\'s iHollywood Week will be her sixth iHD event- and we can\'t wait. In addition to being über- talented, the faculty is available, accessible, and genuinely invested in the children they teach. Rey is always there- on sight - taking excellent care of everyone, dancers, parents, and staff. We are so excited to be there again in July and for many, many years to come.
Always amazing. We\'ve particapated in L.A. week-long conventions for the past 6 years and the convention/competition tour for the past 3 years. iHollywood has a great crew. Well organized competition -on time & professional. Judge\'s critique is always on-the-mark/video, etc. Enthusiastic awards presentation, MC brings dancers \'up\' and makes everyone feel special. A very positive experience for all. Best collection of talent around. Cutting edge choreo. Entertaining closing show. Just plain fun. We always feel welcome and appreciated, which is rare these days. Looking forward to the Hollywood Week in July 2013!
If Rey and his mom Penny were honest, moral, and knew how to run a business, and if they actually intended to issue refunds, they would have at least returned ONE phone call or email out of the hundreds of attempts made to obtain ANY information. We have been trying to get answers since JANUARY with NO RESPONSE. When they IGNORE customers, a social media blitz to warn other unsuspecting dance parents is the only option. I don\'t understand why this recent influx of California posters is so supportive, but I have my suspicions. While I am sure the instructors are great, most of the ones I have contacted want NOTHING to do with iHollywood because they have not been paid, and iHollywood keeps trying to bring in business by keeping these instructors listed on their website. As for the accusations of slander or libel, truth is an absolute defense, so best of luck making those bogus claims stick. iHollywood has had every opportunity to make this right, and they have repeatedly FAILED to do so. ONE PHONE CALL with actual information, followed by a REFUND, and this all stops.
My students and Parents Love iHollywood Dance Mikey Trasoras, Melody Lacayunga, Cory Finn and Reed Tankersley are awesome. They care about the kids. Margarite Derrick gives great advice and the dancers lover her classes. And the showcase is amazing. They have a fabulous dance company and the teachers and Company put on a great show. Hollywood week is a blast. Kids learn the business, and in the past performed in a professionally taped video. We love iHollywood. Rey and his staff give the convention a family feel
As a dance dad, prop builder, & team photographer who attends every competition, helps our studio & other studios backstage at events, and almost ranks w/ the dance moms in time spent in our dance world, what I see is a lot of supportive Midwestern parents that care about their kids and the positive experiences they have in their studios and at their competitions. They want to see that positive dance experience continue…safely & successfully. But the behavior demonstrated by iHollywood has put studios in peril, left dance instructors short on money, and shaken their dance parent’s confidence. Badly. Bondgirl, what you call mean-spirited bullying, slander, and hate from the parents, is actually surprising to me. They are warning other dance parents, instructors, and convention venues about iHollywood’s behavior. Placing the welfare of other dance parents & studios above their own. The dance world IS small…and iHollywood needs to do the right thing. The problem will not go away until Rey commits to studios, parents, & instructors that iHollywood will “make it right” again, and shows thru action that they are doing so. Rey, remember that the most important thing to do when you’re in a bad situation… is to demonstrate what you’re doing to make it better.
Wow. I must admit I\'m shocked & embarrassed to see such hate coming from the Midwest dance parents. Ya\'ll sound like a bunch of mean-spirited bullies out for blood. I\'m sorry you haven\'t received your refund yet, but to spread rumors about a legitimate business, run by a team of people, who all love to share their passion for dance, isn\'t the way to go. This dance world is small. Let\'s try and be kind to each other. Bashing someone\'s good name is not going to help you get your refund. We have been attending iHollywood for several years, and this season my daughter was a Company member. We went to Denver, Phoenix, LA, and San Jose. We would\'ve gone to Tulsa (which wasn\'t cancelled, just relocated), but it didn\'t fit into our schedule. It\'s been surreal to be surrounded by such dedicated and talented people that love and share their talent. And maybe not every event/venue isn\'t perfectly organized, but, what convention/convention is? I must say iHollywood has been a truly amazing experience for us. We can\'t wait for iHollywood Week in LA!!
We have been going to Hollywood week since its inception and regionals for a few years. We attended the Warm up, Denver, Arizona, Los Angelos, San Francisco and Tulsa this year and plan on attending Hollywood week in July. It has been a great year. My daughters love the faculty and have so much fun in classes. The teachers really care about the kids and are inspiring. I am a parent, dance teacher and previous studio owner. So I KNOW FOR A FACT, the contract says that refunds will be issued within a certain period of time. The convention in Chicago was scheduled for April I3 and 14th. That was less than a month ago. I believe the contract says within 90 days. If I was being bombarded with parent and lawyers just a week or two after the event was cancelled, I would not answer the phone either. I was told that not enough students enrolled for the event to make it financially feasable. And I am sure that all this slander is what caused Tulsa to be smaller than normal. I don\'t see how slandering someones name is going to get anyone anywhere. All these reviews that are negative are from Indiana and surrounding area\'s. As the mom from Cali said, you are not only hurting iHollywood Dance, but the faculty, The company members who are so proud of their friends and teachers, and everyone who loves iHollywood. Yes Rey has had a tough year. Actually it has been a tough few years for the Barcena\'s. They have dealt with health issues, loss of a family member and a poor economy. And as was said by Cali mom, iHollywood is not only defined by the Barcena\'s. There are many people who love being a part of the iHollywood family. How many conventions have a family like this? I am thankful and proud that my dancers are a part of such a wonderful group of people and we love and care for each and everyone of them. Please stop slandering this business and be patient. I would love to see what other people that are not from Indiana/Chicago have to say. Hope to see everyone at Hollywood Week.
Dear Melrose, Parent from CA. While I am pretty sure I understand your support for yourself, er, I mean Rey, I find it to be completely misplaced. Our studio has been requesting a refund for MONTHS ever since it became evident that it was too late to book hotels, as the location of the Chicago convention was never disclosed. This was well before it was canceled. Since we began requesting a refund, there has been literally ZERO communication despite hundreds of attempts to contact Rey or his mother, Penny. If iHollywood was a legitimate business and not a complete Ponzi scheme, wouldn\'t an owner return at least ONE email or phone call with information about refunds? If they ever intended to actually refund money, this would seem to be a pretty easy way to avoid a social media onslaught. Not only are studios and parents being ROBBED by iHollywood, but Penny and Rey have also failed to pay several dance instructors as well. This seems to go hand in hand with their complete disregard for their customers, and I am constantly amazed at people like them who can take advantage of other people purely for their own financial gain. The only actual contact we have been able to get with iHollywood or its owners has been through a college friend of mine who actually paid Penny a visit in person where she apparently works as a dog groomer. She told him that Rey would take care of refunds, because \"His momma didn\'t raise no fool.\" I have a hard time buying that.
While some people may have had a \"positive\" (and I use that term loosely) experience, it is obvious that the majority of people did not. This rating is not about the quality of a convention/competition, but rather the lack of one. In good faith, money was paid for something that was not delivered. Many parents and families work extra jobs and skip mortgage payments to pay for their children\'s love of dance. Do you really think those are not hard times?? Would he have allowed us to attend convention and competition without paying? How about the fact that he is still not acknowledging the fact HE OWES MONEY!!!!!!!! How am I supposed to explain to my children, our studio is going to close and you cannot dance because someone took our hard earned money and won\'t pay it back. Is that what we are teaching our children-you don\'t have to keep your end of a bargain-just take what you want and screw the rest of the world?? So Rey fell on hard times-do you really expect the scammed families and studios to feel sorry for him when he doesn\'t feel anything for us? We blindly and in good faith paid for something, and would have let it all go if it was merely a matter of \"Venue TBA\" and it fell through. Cancel the city, and pay the money back! What is so hard about that concept. He has been working in other cities-where does that money go. It should go back to the people he scammed and let down. Not to pay for his hard times. And what will happen if he does try to provide for a National Week, take more money and let those people down. Here\'s the solution, Rey. Make restitution to the people you let down, close your organization to reorganize your life, and then reopen when you get your life on track. Just like the rest of the world should do when faced with a layoff or disaster. People will respect you more than if you just ignore them.!
Wow Chicago I understand your frustration but seriously you\'re going to rate it and bad mouth him less than a month after it\'s cancelled. There is a legal time period for him to provide a refund according to the contracts your studio signed. Raising torches and carrying pitchforks to his door is a little much. Bad mouthing iHollywood is damaging to them, to the faculty and the company kids. If your \"Anti iHollywood\" campaign keeps people from signing up for Nationals - how does that help you get your money back? If anything all you are doing is keeping the company from bringing in cash that could potentially go to pay your studio. Perhaps I need to contact all the people that attended LA, Phoenix, Denver and San Jose. I\'m pretty sure they, like me would give a high rating for this convention. Rey is human and maybe he has had something going on in his life right now that is keeping him from his normal standard. After all the years of putting out a quality production, I certainly wouldn\'t classify him as a con artist! Its too bad people can\'t see beyond their own needs. To respond - if we want to talk about majority, Chicago didn\'t happen (yes that\'s bad) and Tulsa for some was weak...yet LA Warm UP, LA, Phoenix, Denver and San Jose were great. Perhaps Dallas and Michigan can chime in since I didn\'t go. Someone please look up Ponzi Scheme before using it again.
No stars would be appropriate! Our studio is still waiting for refunds from the cancelled Chicago event! Phone calls are ignored and emails unanswered yet he is advertising his Hollywood week event in July! Everyone beware of this con artist. He will only steal your money!
Our studio signed up to attend a convention at iHollywood. Despite attempts to contact them to find out information they would not respond to tell us the venue 2 weeks prior to the event. Then they canceled the event & rescheduled for a time that we could not attend. We, along with many studios in Illinois & Wisconsin, have been trying to get a refund for 3 months. They do not respond to phone calls, emails or letters. Our studio is out thousands of dollars and no one will tell us when refunds might happen! NO COMMUNICATION = VERY FRUSTRATING!! Those who have been able to get in touch with Rey can you please help the rest of us by letting us know what phone number you used?!? Because if you call the listed phone number you will not get a person and often you will only get a full mailbox. I\'m glad that some of you had great experiences because I wouldn\'t wish financial loss to anyone, but it has happened for many studios and that is just wrong. I sincerely hope that one day I can edit my post to say that we received a refund because we have been requesting one for 3 MONTHS and at this point have never been given any indication of when that might happen. A good company communicates even when there are cancelations/changes/etc. This has not been our experience. So beware if you choose to include this convention in your season. UPDATE: It is July and still no contact from iHollywood. We have tried to reach them by phone, email, letter, certified letter, in person, twitter, and Facebook for 6 MONTHS and have had no response. Our studio is out thousands of dollars. Parents and dancers are out thousands of dollars- there is no excuse for the lack of communication.
This is a very shady operation!! They cancelled our event after stringing us along with \"finding a venue\". Then took our money and ran. It is a shame they are still in business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Someone please hire Mikey, Melody & Nathan so they can be properly valued for their amazing talent. Everyone else please do all youcan to report iHollywood to the better business bureau, state attorney\'s offce, etc. so it can no longer take people\'s money without providing what was promised. Snake oil salesman for sure! Total crook!
Where is the negative stars button? Seriously, this competition is a scam! My studio went to it last year and it was great, but this year however there was no venue and there has been no refund of money to 30+ studios, some of which are going out of business because they are more than 20,000 dollars in! I can\'t tell you enough how bad this is getting. Once in Florida, once in Illinois, and now it\'s happening again in Oklahoma! Someone needs to take care of this before too many more small studio\'s go out of business leaving so many kids without a place to dance.
If I could use negative stars, I would. Although our experience over a year ago was quality )great teachers, classes, etc.... this year we have had nothing but trouble! Planned to attend, it was cancelled due to lack of venue. Date was changed, then that was cancelled too! iHollywood won\'t refund our money. Out tons of $$$ and stressful date issues!
Don\'t waste your time cus he will just steal your money and then cancel the competition.
Our story is alot like others who have written here. We were planning a trip down to Chicago with our studio and are out alot of money! We have tried calling and e-mailing but haven\'t heard anything in months. I can\'t express my disappointment with this organization. 6/3/2013 - I wanted to update my status: It is June and my studio has still not received a phone call or e-mail response from iHollywood regarding a refund. My last contact was Feb.3rd from Rey stating \"it\'s in the mail\". He\'s a liar and a coward. No company relies on the parents to fight their battles. iHollywood is a disgrace to the dance community. I have tried to put myself in Cheri\'s shoes and the others who defend them but I cannot. It\'s clear you people either work for iHollywood or your kids are part of the company. Luckily, all the 5 star ratings are doing more harm than good because you have no idea how ridiculous you sound to the rest of the country. With each passing day and month the truth becomes more clear. You are supporting a company that owes money to teachers, faculty and studios. Their actions have taken a studio away from its children. How can you possibly justify that? If anyone wants to refute anything I\'ve said there are plenty of discussions happening on dancemom.com
Not even worth ONE star! First they did not have a venue secured for an event and canceled just two weeks prior. Then they stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from studios by canceling and not refunding money- no response to phone calls, emails, or letters. They are a scam. Horrible!
As a parent, I\'m so disappointed that dishonest businesses like ihollywood exist. As a group of dance parents, we work hard to raise money for our kids so they can dance to competition like this. For ihollywood to steal our money, is just unacceptable. If you are thinking of going to this venue, please don\'t go. Support our cause.
Our dance studio enrolled 36 dance students and teachers to attend iHollywood Dance Convention in Chicago, March 1-3, 2013. We signed up on line via their website and paid by credit card in October 2012. As March 2013 neared, the company was not providing information as to the venue location and host hotel. Then they changed the convention date to April 12-14 and advertised the venue and hotel on their website with only 2 weeks in advance of the new convention date. As April 12 neared, iHollywood announced the Chicago convention was cancelled and they would see us in 2014. All phone calls and emails made to iHollywood to get a refund have been ignored since January. Approximately 30 studios were affected, with an average of 30 students each, with an average of $300 per student, which totals $270,000 that iHollywood has not refunded. iHollywood then proceeded to put on a dance convention in Tulsa, OK in April 2013. That convention did happen although there were problems with last-minute venue changes and also half the dance teachers did not show up. Also, Rey Barcena, the owner and director of iHollywood did not show up, and he is running the show! Many of the dance parents in attendance were unhappy with the quality/value for the money of the Tulsa convention. Now iHollywood is announcing a dance intensive this summer called Hollywood Week. It is distressing that iHollywood is continuing to take money in for future conventions, but not refunding our money. In addition iHollywood has not been paying the dance teachers for teaching at the conventions this year. Many of the teachers featured on their website have severed ties with iHollywood and will never teach for them again. So if you sign up for Hollywood Week 2013 thinking you are getting those great teachers on their website, you will be sorely disappointed. http://www.ripoffreport.com
Is there any way to rate this any lower?
Such a shame. The competition had a great staff but the owners have run it into the ground. They have stolen mass amounts of money from numerous studios and the competition has become absolute chaos.

The first time I went I fell in love and now with this huge scandal most of his original staff ahead quite because he is a pain to work with. I am just disappointed to now he isn't realizing how much he has impacted other studios. Lucky enough we are able to stay open but other studios aren't as luck as us.
Absolutely ridiculous. Complete thief
Wow.... They took our money. Very unprofessional. #notcool
this convention is RANK. Do not go. Such a one..
teachers are awesome. people who run it are not.
RIIIP OFFFFF
This competition is unaware of the damage done from not only not communicating with the public studios, buy not refunding their money. Though I believe as a dancer this convention was worth going to, it is not worth the poor service provided.
.
Teachers and Studio Owners BEWARE! We attended I Hollywood last year and had a good experience. This season however this is not the case! We started calling the office in January to find out what the venue was going to be for Chicago. We were told they were working on it. We went ahead and sent in our fees for convention and competition. The date was changed and we could not attend the new dates. And Chicago was cancelled. We have been promised our REFUND since the beginning of February! Phone calls and emails are not answered and to date we have NOT received our money back. AWFUL!
Do NOT attend this competition/convention!!!!! Our studio planned to attend in Chicago, and they changed the date and venue numerous times. And this was in the weeks leading up to the original date!! Eventually they moved it to a date that we already had a competition scheduled and paid for. It has been months since then, and neither our studio nor any of the families have received a single dollar returned, or even the consideration of a response to phone calls. Very very shady organization. Our studio has lost thousands of dollars!!!
