COMPETITION DETAIL

The atmosphere allows every dancer to learn, grow, explore and discover their passion. The improv battle was something so unique and all of my dancers loved it. I cannot say enough about how every studio needs to send their team to The Movement, you will be taken care of in so many aspects and at the end of the day you will be apart of one unique family that is keeping dance alive. We will definitely be returning to The Movement every year.

This was a really great competition! It was very organized backstage and the whole competition moved ahead of schedule. There was a good variety in the judges, which allowed them all to give feedback that touched on different areas. It was a great experience and an awesome competition!

Newer competition. Organization could of been better with the program and awards. Judges comments were okay, repeated themselves quite a bit. Not a horrible experience, but not a great experience.

Main Street Dance Studios attending The Movement Dance Competition in Des Moines, Spring 2017. It was a great competition. The staff is professional, attentive, and caring to the dancers. This is one of the rare competitions where the judging feels genuinely fair. The staff is hard working and their goal is to make sure the studio and their dancers leave having had a powerful and positive experience. I highly recommend The Movement Competition! It is so nice to be a part of a genuinely honest competition with great integrity! Lots of spirit too!

I was thoroughly impressed with this first year competition. Grant, Clinton and Misty were professional, courteous and punctual with the operation of their event. My dancers were made to feel comfortable by the friendly environment that was created. I look forward to years of attendance at The Movement!!!

WOW! What an amazing, fun and organized competition!!! We absolutely LOVED it!!! Thank you again for such a fun event! Misty and her team were amazing to work with and are such detail oriented!!! They made us feel so special even if we aren't the "biggest" studio in the state! All my studio parents and dancers just loved it!!!!

Being a studio owner and director we attend a lot of different competitions. I can't say enough good things about The Movement. We LOVED attending this new competition. The staff was very accommodating and kind! My girls loved it. We can't wait to attend next year. I highly recommend checking it out!!

Being a studio owner I can state that without reserve we will return. It was such a pleasure to find one of the very few remaining venues in which we could compete "on stage". The Movement was a great competition for our dancers! Misty and Clinton are all about the dancers and wanting the best for them. The judges were helpful with their comments, the backstage help was accommodating, and they had an improv audition before the awards session and talked to the dancers about the importance of knowing how to improv in the dance world. During the awards session they gave out big checks to the overall winners and actually gave money away which is always fun for the kids to receive! Can't wait until next season!

Great competition! Everything was organized & the backstage help was awesome to work with when we were dealing with quick changes. Our kids had a lot of fun! We will be back!:)

This event was amazing. All of my girls enjoyed being there. So much talent by everyone involved.

If you are looking for a competition that strives to focus on technique and high quality dances, this is your competition. The organizers were wonderful to work with. The judges challenged our dancers to do their best and they provided good critiques. They gave student great advice on how to become better dancers. This company is willing to learn from feedback to create a competition studios will love and help challenge dancers.

We loved our first experience with this competition! The event ran on time. All the communication with the staff leading up to the event was prompt. They were positive and professional in person. Most importantly the judges critiques were some of the best I've ever gotten for my 2 dancers. Great insight and great corrections! We will definitely come again next year, hoping it fits in our schedule!
