I went to watch the competition on Sunday to see if we should put it on the schedule for next year. I had no dances competing, but I ended up knowing one of the studio owners that was attending. Cutting Edge was incredibly unorganized from what I saw on Sunday and from what my friend told me they were like that all weekend long. They forgot to announce overalls on Saturday and announced them on Sunday (and the juniors that won weren't there to accept), they were giving away awards "they had never done before" and it was an invite to opening number, a special judges award, and a scholarship to BDC all to the same soloist and when the director announced the solo who won, she announced the wrong number and had to quickly correct herself. How horrible for the girl who thought she won! They were running 45-1 hour behind, and there were several minutes between dances instead of the normal 20-30 seconds. I didn't like that the director/MC was on stage in Uggs, leggings, and a ponytail, make it special for the kids by showing you care a little. My friend told me she was sent the program order on Thursday night via facebook and then the competition had a different program order when they arrived on Friday. I just think there are better options out there for you to spend your money on! On the plus side, the venue they were at were was absolutely beautiful and the judging was spot on.

Our dancers and parents love this competition. Venue is outstanding. Runs on time, fair judging. I hope it continues to grow.
