COMPETITION DETAIL

I have been a dance mom for 15 years and competed myself for 5 years at this competition. I have had to opportunity to attend competitions from other company's all up the east coast and this one is by far our favorite. The staff is professional, the adjudication is fair and dancer focused, the Director is honest and fair. The environment that is created by this Company is "arts focused," safe, and an energy that one cannot put into words. Jackie and Tina and the amazing judicators that I have had the opportunity to observe make being a dance mom worth it that weekend we spend with them.

Easily the WORST competition I have ever been to. We arrived at the competition to discover that there were only 91 numbers in the entire competition, and we were 52 of them. Because of this, we had so many quick changes that our kids were very stressed and upset. The directors were unsympathetic and extremely rude. The dressing rooms were a joke. We also had some unpleasant experiences with another studio that the director refused to deal with. We ended up getting all of the high score awards, but I would still NEVER attend this competition again.

Understanding that they are fairly new as well, I give them credit for the size of their events. The judging was tough. Backstage person very nice. Loved the video critiques.

Great competition! Judging is harder than most, platinum and platinum pluses are not the norm, but much more satisfying when they are received. Competition ran on time, which we always love!

I really enjoy this comp because of the way they score routines. It\'s a lot tougher than most, with only top-notch routines receiving Platinums and hardly ever any Platinum Pluses. The majority of the entries are silvers or high silvers. I love tough ones like this—they make you work harder to win! Now here\'s why it\'s not 5 stars. When I went here in 2013, they were perfect—on time, quick awards, and had everything online soon afterwards. However, in 2014, I was disappointed. They ran very late and my teacher had to go backstage and ask them if we could go earlier than scheduled (the little kids in our routine were falling asleep). Awards went very late on a Sunday night. Also, I didn\'t stay for awards (because they were late) and it\'s been 2 weeks since the comp and no online results! Loved it last year but I\'m disappointed this time.

although they score harder than most comps, it was still a great experience. Ran on time which is always a plus.
