COMPETITION DETAIL

We\'ve been to this competition for a couple of years and it\'s always great. This year they had some issues with the facility but heard they changing things up for next year. We are excited to go back. They always give great awards, take care of the dancers, and even treat the teachers to a special room with food all weekend. It\'s one of our favorites!

This is a fun competition. Very friendly atmosophere. Love the fact that they give the picture CD\'s and other goodies. That set them apart. I like the the judging, and the fact that they have jugdes the seem to know all styles of dance. My one complaint is that it takes FOREVER for them to show the results for this year. I believe this dance competition company also runs Majestic Dance competition, and it\'s the same thing. They only have results posted thur 2014. If you like to print out the results and put them in a scrapbook or a memory box, be prepared to wait a LONG LONG time.

Horrible venue-larger stage area had cheap plastic folding chairs and bleachers and both were uncomfortable for everyone. Exiting either stage area after a session involved major traffic jams. Dressing rooms were overcrowded. Noise level in the stage areas was too loud sometimes drowning out the dancers. Too much \"pushing\" of the comp charity and sponsors. Waiting 45+ minutes for awards in a hot, crowded area-unacceptable. Expecting dancers to sit and wait for awards without diversion such as music- unacceptable. Scheduling dancers during school hours and yet giving out awards for studios with high GPAs is contradictory to say the least. School should be every dancer\'s number 1 priority. The philosophy behind the competition is great--they just need to get into the 21st century and do some modernization such as computerized scoring and maybe an app for the event since their program is hard to follow.

The dressing room situation is horrible! Awards ceremony takes way too long.

We were actually at Majestic this year. I appreciated that we got the schedule earlier this year than in year\'s past, and that a skeleton schedule was up on the website earlier than a week before the competition. In general this is one of our favorite competitions. Always runs on time and the presents (last 2 years have been free picture CDs of each routine, and the pictures have been great) are much appreciated. My only complaint this year was that the room the second stage was in was very small this year and they had large groups performing on this stage. It was beyond crowded in there, in that you couldn\'t even find a spot to watch even standing in the back and you it was such a bottleneck with people trying to get in and out one door that sometimes you couldn\'t even push your way into the room before the next dance had started. Next year they need to find a way to have a bigger second stage or only put solos, duos, and trios in here. Otherwise, it\'s a great competition. We have been taking our two year old with us and (in the main room) there is so much space she can be off to the side running while we can still see what is going on on stage. It\'s one of the more \"toddler\" friendly sites we have ever been to!

What a wonderful competition! Have nothing bad to say. They are so generous with their goodies they give out to the kids and our dancers enjoy this competition the most. We love going every year & love that it\'s different from other competitions.

In general this was a good, was well run competition. Ran on time (although never ahead. I would\'ve rather run ahead than taking extras breaks just so we would \"stay on time\".) and they had frequent award sessions. I think they were held every hour, and they went fast! Each dancer got a free photo CD which is a nice surprise. Staff was friendly. Great venue. It was nice having everything close and compact. Things I disliked was we didn\'t get any idea of schedule until the Monday before a comp that started on Fri afternoon, and even then it wasn\'t even a final schedule. Makes it really hard to plan. I also didn\'t like the way they scheduled groups. For instance they had Jr. small groups on totally different day/times than large group or line. DD greatly disliked not being able to watch her teammates. Dressing room space was kind of small. But I loved getting a map ahead of time which showed exactly where the dressing room was! All in all a good comp with fair judging. Hopefully this will be one we will return to.

I love this competition! They do a great job of going above and beyond for the dancers. I love the banners that they give out for Judges Choice awards and category winners! I love the pins that they give dancers (I have too many trophies already!). They have a great stage and a very fun atmosphere! Every dancer gets a nice gift when checking in! The only complaint I have is that I would like to view and order pictures after the event. With two dancers in several dancers I never have time to view the pictures at the competition!
