If we could give this comp zero stars we would. We left feeling so incredibly unseen at this event. It is NOT small studio friendly. This competition felt so rigged. Only the studios with 100 kids and 80 routines got anything. All studios but 3 got judges awards or mentions- and of course it was the 3 smallest studios. They were not on time for anything, our music never worked so I had to bring them my phone at the last second to hook up. I felt so bad for my girls during awards when one studio and one dancer was called up multiple times and they got nothing. My kids are beginners and we are new to competing but I know my kids did well- they got fair and great scores all season until this event. I feel good that my little ones didn't know the difference and still had fun. I posted in the dance studio chat right after awards to see if anyone else felt this way towards this comp- SO many people responded that they too had issues and were unhappy so I know it just wasn't us. We will NOT be returning this year. It sucks too because the venue was awesome, the apparel was cool, but when it came to the actual competition it SUCKED! No stars for STARZ from us! Amazing Comp! Very dancer oriented, not money

FANTASTIC!!!!! A \"no drama\" competition experience!! HIGHLY recommend!! Gentle and positive critique, expert judging, and motivating to student choreographers!! Fabulous!! Definitely a \"will do again\" competition after entering twice in one season!! If it would allow me 6 stars I would rate it as such!!

This was awesome. The constructive criticisms given in a positive way was impressive. My daughter enjoyed hearing the feedback and is applying the corrections to be ready for her live competition season. Great job!

Loved this competition! They gave great constructive criticism in a non-threatening way. The results and comments came back quickly! Would do this again as soon as my daughter can learn a new routine! Love, love it!

Loved this competition!! This is my daughter\'s first year competing and we submitted one of her routines in order to prepare her for competition. The turnaround time was short and the critiques were great! We have worked on the comments that we were given and my daughter is more confident and ready to do her competition! We will definitely be sending in more routines in the future!

Easily the best competition we have ever participated in. Their slogan of No Drama Just Dance was completely right. We received the best feedback ever. The staff was wonderfully pleasant and easy to work with. While it is a bit different competition format, it completely works for our studio. We sent our routines in and within 36 hours we had extremely helpful feedback. We got our feedback, implemented the judges comments and placed at the top of the following competition. This is the perfect \"next step\" after practice in the studio and before going to a competition. I highly recommend it for all dancers, studios or parents.

This is the 1st time we have done this competition and we loved it. The feedback is immediate. When I contacted them they were readily available to answer my questions and were so nice. The feedback was very helpful. We definitely will do this again many times over!

Best competition experience ever! This on-line competition was as advertised - all dance and no drama without the hassle of travel. I have taken my daughter to many well known competitions the past few years for solos/duets/group dances and this competition by far provided the best technical critiques she has ever received. The feedback was prompt, professional, and easy to understand. We received our feedback in less than 24 hours after video submission. Each entry received feedback from 3 different judges at an affordable entry fee that was less than 1/2 the cost of other well known competition venues. Video and fee payment was quick and easy. Staff was courteous, friendly, and prompt. I highly recommend this competition for any dancer out there!! We will be using this competition to get feedback on a regular basis.

This was a really fantastic way to compete before you compete. The judges gave excellent critique. My daughter has been competing for years and I would have loved to have known about this in the past. To get feedback before you actually compete live so you know what you need to work on is a great thing. Alas, this will probably be her last competition since she is 19 but it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone or any dance studio that wanted to compete with out the craziness of actually going to a competition.

Without a doubt, the best discovery ever for an independent dancer or any dancer who wants high quality, formative feedback during the dance season. The judges took my daughter\'s videos very seriously. Their comments were specific and helpful -- and written and spoken in language that was understandable to our daughter. Corrections were handed in a very positive and professional manner and every effort was made to stress positives and provide encouragement for continued growth. The way this competition works, there are so many beneficial options. Feedback can be private or you can opt for more public results. Submitting entries was easy and painless. They are flexible with the formality of the dance and open to viewing polished work as well as works in progress. Clearly, the judges have a background in the dance style they judge, and it seems the judges are relaxed and focused during their viewing and critiques (unlike real time competitions where the judges are clearly exhausted at times). They even offer an option to request the same judges to review and critique a routine over time. That option is very helpful in preparing routines throughout the season without having to perform in a more formal or public forum until the dancer is ready. Rates are reasonable, and you can opt in or out of \"awards.\" For $30, we were able to get 3 incredible critiques and a certificate with the adjudication level. No travel expense, no hoopla, no nonsense -- just great feedback that\'s both meaningful and personalized. Love it!! As an independent soloist, this competition will be a Godsend for us this year as we work toward cleaning and polishing our daughter\'s solo more on our own than ever.

Love it! First time participating in an online competition! But this was a great experience to prepare for the upcoming competition year! We received specific critique and will utilize this to continue preparing! Thank you for the Platinum and special award along with an Overall! My parent is very pleased! We will do this more often!

This is such an awesome competition! The people are wonderful and so nice! They keep you informed every step of the way. We submitted a video and received a rating in 2 days - over a weekend! The feedback was great - positives and critiques! My daughter can\'t wait to submit another one to see if she can improve! While some competition is healthy, this takes the anxiety out of the competition and let\'s the kids do what they love - dance! I recommend to any dancer that is looking to find ways to improve!

I am so pleased with our experience with Starz Dance Competitions! This was the first year my 8 year old daughter did a solo, so along with live competitions, this was another way to get judges feedback. The feedback we received from these judges was awesome! There were more notes on her sheets than when she did live competitions. The notes were a balance of positive feedback and things she needed to improve on. The communication with Starz was awesome! My daughter has many more years of dancing and I will continue to enter her with this competition!!

Starz is a great outlet for our dancers! We used it for critique before our live comp. It was awesome! Can\'t say enough great things about them!

I recommend this for anyone looking for extra help with their solo. Their feedback was wonderful. Not only was the feedback helpful, it was clear and understandable! We will be doing this again!

We haven\'t done this yet but I think it is a great idea and I definately plan on doing this soon!! Just getting the feedback is worth the money spent and will help my DD with what she needs to work on for her solos!

I think it is a great concept and allows dancers the feedback they may need to improve.

I entered my daughter's solo independently because it was her first year performing a solo and we wanted some extra feedback. I was pleasantly surprised when we received the results 24 hrs after entering. The judges comments were both detailed and encouraging regardless if they were giving a compliment or stating what my daughter needed to improve on. The judges enthusiasm was the same or if not greater then any live competition we have attended. Starz Dance competition truly gives all the benefits of a live competition with out all the hassle of traveling, not to mention the expenses that comes with it. This experience left my daughter feeling great about her performance as well as knowing what she needs to work on. Starz Dance Competitions is very professional and my daughter and I are both looking forward to entering her in their competitions again.

I think this is a fabulous concept!! I entered two of my daughter's solos, I received great feedback in the judges comments and score sheets, things that she did well and things she should work on, just like a competition you would be in attendance for. I highly recommend it! Results were given in a timely fashion. I will continue to do this competition for solo and group numbers; a great all around experience and display of pure professionlism!

Our daughter entered as an independent entry since our studio doesn\'t compete. She received excellent critiques from all of the judges. There were numerous comments on things that she could improve upon, as well as things she did well. We felt the comments were right on par and very genuine. It was obvious that the judges had much expertise and experience The online format worked very well for us. We were able to choose whether or not we wanted to have her awards, video and/or photo posted. We could also choose to receive awards or have a lower entry fee by not. Overall, this is an excellent competition and we highly recommend it! We will definitely be entering again!

Finally, a competition where children are expected to dance like children, and given thorough critiques. I cannot say enough good things about Starz, and look forward to entering our dance routines every chance we get.
