very solid comp from year to year.......well run
reply
Venue for Bravo is always the worst. I’ve never gone to a Bravo comp that wasn’t miserably overcrowded with insufficient audience or dancer changing space. Judging was super uneven. The staff was delightful and professional and I WANT to like the comp, but I’m really hoping we never ever go back after doing this for 4 years.
This past dance competition in little rock was amazing but they put all our dances within 2-3 of each other, not giving us much time to get yourself ready to do another dance.
I feel like Bravo has always been greate. Very professional events that seems to add a little every year. One of our kiddos faves
Judging was amazing at the BravO! Mobile event. Dan was incredible and so were the others. Thank you for the thoughtfull critiques.
The judges only pick the biggest studios, and also pick dances that are like high school dance team dances, not professional dances. Our students have received full ride dance scholarships to many colleges, yet they don’t place at your competition . Weird
looking forward to another year kicked off by Bravo! Been the best for years.
I am VERY disappointed with the lack of care from bravo. I, along with many other people from the studio my kids go to, have family that have been very high-risk for covid-19. (before the vaccine came out) The lack of care from bravo was so disheartening to me. I understand allowing the children to not wear masks on stage when dancing and when they're eating, but there were parents and dance teachers from other studios wearing t-shirts tied round their mouths', wearing a bandana on their chin, and for the few who did bring some variation of an actual mask, they either flat out didn't wear it to cover anything or hung it on their ear the entire weekend. I have loved bravo for years, and wrote a good review a while back because I genuinely loved the competition, but I soon found out during the weekend that adults were talking and laughing about how they were able to, and I quote, 'sneak in while having the virus during the scam-demic'. Everyone at that event back in early April was exposed to covid. We all quarantined for 2 weeks after the competition, but it is still far too dangerous. Also, during awards they had everyone on stage at once, not required to wear masks, some people- both kids AND adults slingshotting their masks from their fingers, and not social distancing. Our studio owner had contacted Bravo and forward us all the email saying how their priority is to keep everyone safe during these times, though we were all exposed to the pandemic because the staff did not enforce the masks among the adults, not to mention most of the staff were either wearing no mask, not wearing it over their nose and mouth, or even a mesh/fishnet face 'covering' if I can even call it that.
Horrible experience! The venue was way too small! The venue & schedule were changed multiple times prior to the competition. The dressing rooms were inappropriately small. Staff members were not wearing masks despite the the states mask mandate. A sticker “2021” covered up old 2020 on award plaques! All around a very disappointing experience!
This is ridiculous. Parents jammed into a tiny space with no COVID regulations in place. Wristbands distributed but nobody at the door, not even a sign to discourage people from entering. Standing room only for hours- only about 200 chairs. "Dressing area" was just a large open area, impossible to social distance. The dance floor was a soft mat over concrete- tap and pointe were impossible.
We had a great time at Bravo. The staff is always friendly and the announcer is energetic and keeps everyone energized. We have attended Bravo for several years and always enjoy it. My daughter has a great time. The auditorium is a great place to showcase all of the dancers.
We always enjoy Bravo. The judging is fair, the quality of competition is high and the staff is organized and professional.
Great competition. Enjoyed the overall experience.
Did it last year. Awesome.
BravO! is by far our favorite dance competition! The staff members along with the directors are so down-to-earth people and take the time during competitions to stop and carry on conversations with folks. Our entire team including parent & grandparents enjoy the competition atmosphere and staff. They make the competition fun and make sure each dancer feels special no matter their experience level or studio size! There may be early and late hours for competitions, but that is what happens when you are THE BEST IN THE MIDWEST!
Bravo is by far the BEST competition in the industry! They provide a family-friendly atmosphere along with a diamond-rated production! Every dancer feels they are in a professional production with lights, sound, video, and announcer make each and every dancer feel special! Our families will ALWAYS attend Bravo Regionals and Nationals! Thank you for being the BEST and making the competition industry a rewarding experience!
Such an amazing company!
I have been bringing students to BravO! since 2007. I am continually impressed with the relationships the Owner/Staff build with ALL the teachers and students. The atmosphere is relaxed, stress free and fun! The judging is fair and filled with positive feedback, and fun special awards are given out that are not "high score" related. I feel like BravO! In whole understands that although it is competition, dance is also an art form that deserves equal amounts of attention! My students always leave inspired and motivated!
We attended our first Bravo competition and had a wonderful experience! We loved the organized backstage, the lighting added an extra fun element and made it feel more like a performance, the staff was friendly and helpful. Excited Bravo has come to our city!!!
This comp REALLY lacks credibility and I think they manipulate the scoring. They favor big studios and it is VERY obvious and then don't even send you judges feedback. DO NOT ATTEND..stay away.
Our studio has been attending Bravo on and off for several years. The judging is always pretty consistent, but this year the judges were outstanding! In my opinion, well-rounded critiques are the most important aspect of a dance competition (especially when judging tap). Well done, we will go back!
Ran on time for the most part which was great. The announcer was great! The awards ceremony were very dry and monotone. The venue was horrible... auditorium was way too small, standing room only at times and no food or drinks available for purchase. Judging seemed fair in my view (never being in those shoes!)
The comp is a mixed bag; while the judging had clear bias towards a large studio whom had been attending for several years, the director was nice enough to at least hear to my complaints. It runs on time - but the scheduling itself was pretty awful considering there weren't so many numbers. Also, how about some diversity on the judging panel? Three blonde middle-aged white women from the south isn't exactly diverse in 2019..how about a male? A person of color? Etc. We're in NY .. hire some REAL dancers from NYC that are current.. The worst part is the fact that we did not receive over half our judging feedback -- which they claim is due to a glitch. Interestingly enough, most of the feedback that was "lost" pertains to numbers that scored lower than what I had expected. When contacted about this "glitch" they offered 15% off for the following year...making the assumption that i even planned to attend again next year. I suggest passing on this competition as there are so many out there -- and there ARE fair ones.
Judging in Chicago was great! Very well rounded critiques, tap too.
Totally fine, middle of the road competition. Good place to get dances on stage for the first time in a season. Not a fan of last minute time changes.
We always look forward to attending BravO! each year! They run on time or ahead of schedule if they can. Their staff at their home office and on tours are always nice and around if you have any questions. They make awards a big deal and their plaques are beautiful. Thank you for being a well run dance competition!
The stage was awful small and the Judges were so loud that it disrupted my dance. There announcer was pretty good though.
Awful judges! They give first place to kids who are not talented not professionals. The kids who are professional and work hard every day don’t even get placed! I come from a studio that is professional. We work so hard every day! We come there awesome hairstyles, costumes , and make up and they don’t even place us! This competition is not for everyone, the judges only pick favorite studios! A five year old group beated a 9 year old group and a 7 year old group! Is that natural! Judges need to improve, staffs need to be nicer. Thank you!
Couldn't say enough great things about this competition. The staff, competition, and judges have always been exceptional! It is one of our favorite competitions we go to! Can't wait to attend again this year!
This competition is okay. It's very small, not a ton of competition. I feel like the only reason our studio does it is because it's close to home. I'd rather our girls be challenged a bit more.
We attended Bravo this past year and had a great experience. The venue seating was good, staff was friendly, comp ran smoothly. Excited to go back this year!
We have attended Bravo for many years, ever since my daughter was little. Not only the regionals, but Nationals in Ames. We love the faculty, upbeat atmosphere and how smoothly it runs. The only thing I can say that is frustrating is their awards, which seem to take forever. It's well run, but with the amount of awards given, you can plan on and hour to 1 1/2 hours, which is just too long. Meridith is a gem and the entire staff. The fact that they come to Ames is always a plus because it is very close to us. We plan to attend again this year! Well done Bravo!!
I would rate overall a 3. Average. Just like the rest. This company used to jump out at us with lights and up do staff. Staff was kind of unhappy or having a bad day. Not many studios signed up to rock the house for the long weekend
5 stars again. If you are not attending Bravo during your competition season, you should rethink that decision! So well run, love the details (announcer, lighting, sound, etc). There was one problem we reported to the staff regarding dressing rooms (there was not enough room and space was not assigned--so if you did not arrive when the doors opened you had to be creative). Other competition circuits assign dressing room space, and that is a life saver---it allows the studio director to point at a sign on a wall and explain to another studio that they are in your space....so much easier than trying to cram your dream duffels into zero space). Here is a problem we have only ever seen at this event (not an event issue, but a studio issue: two years in a row, same studio): their students set up their dream duffels and racks in the cafeteria (WHAT??). Their littles changed in pop up tents, but their junior high and high school dancers changed in the open in the CAFETERIA!! <portion of review censored for inappropriate material>....we reported this to Bravo staff and they addressed it through the announcer (which was hilarious BTW) but the studio was not in the audience at that time, they were in the cafeteria dropping their drawers. As we provided the studio name, I wonder why the studio rep was not called to the table to address it directly. (While moms and female dancers are used to girls changing (well, not in a cafeteria) dads, brothers, grandparents, teenage boyfriends and male dancers are NOT.....so I was left to field the shock of our parents and explain that I had done what I could and I didn't know why the Bravo director hadn't spoken directly with the offending studios director. (Would you send your daughter to that studio???) But, I digress......we had a ton of fun and will definitely keep Bravo on our schedule. If I see that studio again next year (and I likely will) I think I will remind the Bravo staff to please speak to the director BEFORE the competition starts..... (the dropdown not allow me to select the event, but this was in Chicago)
BravO! is one of our favorite competitions! We are a small studio and attended the New Haven event. Judging is fair. The judges were professional, video critiques are solid, with plenty of suggestions for improvement, whether the routine scored gold or platinum. Meredith, who ran the event, is an absolute delight. She remembered names and faces after meeting people just once, and she made an effort to speak to each student personally. I particularly liked that she would put the microphone down for a moment (30 seconds tops) during the awards to address the student body on stage. Her positive remarks directly to students made it more about THEM than about an award. The auditorium was beautiful, and the "no food/beverages" was strictly enforced, due to school policy. Students had a great time and we can't wait to go back next year!
This is one of my favorite events to attend! Everyone is friendly and they try to stay on schedule. Their St. Louis event is always packed with the best studios from around the MidWest.
AWFUL COMPETITION! We arrived early Friday to drop our trailer off and asked if we could load our props up the night before being severe weather was coming that entire weekend. The man we spoke to about this was highly rude and would not look at the director when speaking to her. The judges handed out special awards and told one studio "their dance didn't impress me today but I hope to see you back in the future to see if it does." The scoring seemed WAY OFF! Several studios noticed a certain studio should not have belonged in the encore level. They had a dancer who placed 1st for title in the bravo level but danced in all the encore group dances. This same studio had encore students doing 3 solo's. If you have time for 3 solo's then you should be in the advanced level. If someone's music was messed up instead of skipping to the next number they waited until it was fixed. Everyone told us this competition runs ahead and it was the complete opposite for us. It ran way behind! They put Saturday's Awards starting at 10:45 and Sunday's 1st Session starting at 7:00 AM. I understand the kids did not dance the next morning but your studio owners do and we are the ones who decide whether to come back or not. They gave us one small area for all 15 studios to warm up, stretch and run over anything that needed to be ran. The books fell apart. The awards ceremony's were not exciting and they could have given out more awards. For solo's each judge gave out 3 special judges awards but for group numbers each judge got 1 because they were running behind. Thats not our problem that you all could not stay on time. Why should my girls be punished? They only award one choreography and entertainment for each level no matter how many entries. If there is 8 dances in the category they only award a top 5. It was not a good experience at all and we won't be back. The only thing we enjoyed about this competition was the great lightning they used on our dancers and the backstage staff. Oh and the pins are very little!
We love Bravo!! We have been attending the Regional and National competition since my daughter starting competing 9 years ago!! The competition is run very smoothly and is always on time if not running a little ahead. The staff is very professional and very friendly!! Thank you Bravo!!
Love Bravo, we went to a regional competition and then Nationals, both were so good. I love that the timing is right on or ahead of schedule. Great job Bravo!
Schedule is always an adventure with Bravo...they post a schedule with no times for numbers/studios...you have to estimate when it will be. Numbers are completely random...seems like studios can influence when they want numbers to be...not sure if they follow a system...or just run whoever is ready backstage...VERY FRUSTRATING as a parent/spectator as you never know when a number will actually go. Nice staff/judges...no issues the last 2 years...prior to that...2014 & 2015 very suspect numbers/studios putting on a few "questionable" teen numbers that I would be embarrassed to have my children in...seems to have been "cleaned" up the last 2 years our studio has attended. GSU is OK...would rather this be at another venue in Chicago.
This competition was fun, MC was entertaining. I have to question some of the politics of the competition with the "Studio Code" being announced before each dance. Some of the judging was questionable and it makes you wonder why the studio code is necessary if they are just simply judging the dancers. Overall a fun weekend.
5 stars, again! Attended an out of state competition to accommodate our team's personal schedules as we had such a great time last year--and it was well worth the trip. Great announcers, fantastic judges who know dance and can relate as teachers--helpful specific feedback on how to improve technique. (some circuits tell you to watch your feet and stretch--ok, thank you very much--not Bravo!) The only feedback provided by my staff was that the third leg was set pretty far into the wing and some of the younger dancers struggled to get around it....but, hey---that's part of dance and they figured it out! Overall, a great experience, and we will definitely be returning next year!
Third year in a row taking my studio to Bravo. As always Bravo exceeds my expectations and is a fan favorite among my studio. The thing that Bravo understands is that as a dance studio owner I am handing over my studios experience to them for a weekend. They hire a staff that is passionate about dance, fun, and professional. Every member of their staff is truly fun to work with and despite the long days always have their A game on! Bravo is a competition that gets it and goes above and beyond. Taking your studio to Bravo will be a decision you will not regret.
Just finished our season and once again, Bravo is just simply the best. I have come to the conclusion that one of Bravo's defining chateristics that makes them outshine all other competitions is their staff. It is apparent that they hire the best and everyone is trained to do their job. They create such a warm, welcoming atomosphere and each kid is made to feel special which boosts their confidence which then improves their performances. The judges are also all so diverse and have different backgrounds. We always receive great critiques that encourage and teach. We shape our whole schedule around when Bravo comes to our city.
It is okay, well organized, however nothing spectacular. Judgement seems to be pretty fair (only a few I questioned). However please reconsider the metals/prizes for duet/trios. Only 1 medal, plaque given out for each duet. We all know these are kids and sometimes its hard to decide who should get the metal. I understand the 1 plaque in the adjudication process, but top winners should get more than 1 metal in the duet/trio divisions.
We have attended Bravo for 10 years! Fantastic comp with great staff.
LOVE BravO! We have now gone to BravO! the last few years and absolutely love it. Meredith is fantastic! She and the others at BravO! truly care about the dancers. We love that the competition is centered around the dancers and making sure that they feel comfortable and confident. It is always a relaxing, enjoyable experience that brings us back every year! Wish they had a West Coast Nationals!!! :)
We had a phenomenal experience at the first BravO! competition in Little Rock. The show director, Meredith, was kind to everyone, and the entire crew went above & beyond to be sure all my students & parents had a great time. The light show in the audience was fun, and the tv monitors were great, so you always knew who was up & who was on. The competition excitedly ran ahead of schedule the entire time. The judges were enthused, classy & knowledgeable. I've already had parents text me asking if we could please do BravO again next year!
A great day! High energy emcee. Dances ran on time or early, which is always a plus. Would definitely return.
Liked it. The MC adds some humor which fun. Judging seemed pretty good even though I wasn't super impressed with all judges credentials.
My experience this year at Bravo was just as amazing as the years before! Not only did they run on time, their incredible staff made sure each dance and dancer felt comfortable back stage and well prepared. They also allowed extra time for quick changes and any wardrobe malfunctions, which was an extreme help. When it was time for awards the staff made each studio feel special and appreciated making all of my dancers leave with a smile on their face, excited to attend Bravo again next year!
We make a point to put Bravo on our calendar every year and it is always my favorite event. Brendan and his staff are knowledgeable, personable and professional. The competition runs smoothly and they choose a great judging panel for each event. Our staff and dancers look forward to Bravo and Bravo Nationals each season. We LOVE Bravo!
love bravo!
We love Bravo! dance competition!
We love Bravo Dance Competition. It is very organized and the music announcer is so bubbly and entertaining!!
We have attending this comp once and will be going back every year! All staff is outstanding and understanding of quick changes and very positive with dancers. Very kid friendly !
This comp is wonderful. The judges are very fair across the board. Our studio enjoys this comp very much. One of our favorites that we do every year.
We did not compete with Bravo last season, however we have before. I loved the comp. It was one of my favorites from our previous season and I really would have loved to go last season. It was very well run and a pleasant experience.
Great competition
My daughters team competed at Bravo last season, the girls enjoyed the competition and we all felt the scoring was fair.
Great competition, we went to the regular season one and then went to Nationals in Ames IA, got there and had to turn around the dancers grandma had passed away so we missed the competition. But have gone every other year and have really enjoyed it
Still my all-time favorite competition. The only \"Big Name\" competition I\'ll take my kids too because it\'s the most fair. Everyone else bases their awards off how much money you bring them. BravO! actually cares about who deserves it.
AMAZING! together and organized, yet still maintained a high energy environment.
Again, by far the most outstanding competition in the industry! From the moment you walk in the door, the directors know you by name whether you bring 1 dance or 100 dances. The kids and parents love this competition so much that we will be attending more than one regional and nationals! Thank you so much Bravo! for creating a class act! We love you!
We really enjoyed our first time at BravO! The staff was over the top professional and friendly, LOVED the announcer, such a hoot!! Our dancers, parents and teachers all had a great time and we can\'t wait for BravO! to come back!!
Enjoyed Bravo his year! Judging was great and the staff was easy to work with from start to finish. I hope they pick a different venue because its realy far for us and the nights are late. Overall, had a great regional.
The best competition we attended this season! Friendly staff, great announcer, super organized, lighting (at a dance competition!), and wonderful judge critiques. We\'ll definitely be going back to this one next year! Thank you, BravO!
THANK YOU BRAVO!! We just completed a LONG, 40 hour plus, competition weekend and for the first time ever I am nothing but energized & happy on this Monday. Your staff made all of the difference! They are happy, helpful, organized and respectful. Rob, the MC, MAKES the show! Our kids can\'t wait to hear what he is going to say about our routines. The show ran early everyday and your judges critiques were wonderful. They obviously teach! They know dance AND children. Thank you so much for this 5 star weekend We can\'t wait for next year!
We had an excellant experiece at the Bravo Competiton!! We were greeted with smiles and excitement. The director gave me her cell number and said if I needed anything during the weekend to let her know. The stage staff was encouraging and interacted with our girls and they loved it! I met some other amazing studio directors that I will cherish. We will definately be back next year!
Our experience with Bravo was as it always is....AMAZING!! The staff is so friendly and accommodating!! Everything ran smoothly! It was fun and easy for all of my parents and students and they ran ahead!! The judging was on point and the critiques helpful! We will definitely be attending again!
Had a good time at Bravo, but nothing fancy or special, and we felt the judging was off.
Great comp, organized and we did very well as a studio. It\'s fair and our judges critiques were helpful.
We just finished another great event with Bravo! My students and faculty love this event. Brenden and his staff do a remarkable job. We will definitely be back again for the 2017 season. Thank you Brenden for a positive and inspirational weekend for my students.
Bravo is probably my favorite dance competition for a number of reasons, but I wasn\'t as impressed this year as I was last year. Pros: they run it like a professional show, dimming the lights between numbers and with gogos flashing around the auditorium. The emcee does a creative, \"wrestling style\" introduction for EVERY dance, they really make an effort to take care of teachers and studio owners by blocking off the first couple rows and giving them coupons for free food, the judges present their own special awards and one judge in particular really makes an effort to talk the entire time and had excellent critiques. Cons: this weekend, like last year, the LOWEST award given out was a high gold. I find that strange because when I was competing Bravo was known to be tough and hand out silvers when necessary - and I did feel like some numbers scored much higher than they should have. Some of the stronger numbers from our studio also did not score as well as our \"weaker\" numbers did, and while I respect the judge\'s opinions I\'m also not sure why falling out of turns, etc. is being rewarded. The staff is very nice and really makes an effort to accommodate all of their customers. Overall this competition is excellent, just had a few moments that left me scratching my head this weekend.
The studio my children dance with attended this competition for the 1st time this past weekend and as a parent I couldn\'t say anything bad. I felt the judges did a great job and were fair. This event in Indianapolis was a bit smaller than some of the competitions we attend but they ran as smooth as any of the bigger events. I loved the fact that the owner Brendan Buchanan was the MC, he was so very clear & easy to understand but the most impressive thing for me was that he took the time to say something to each and every dancer that came up to receive an award before they went back to their seats. He made the kids feel just that more important. Everyone associated with this company was nice.
Great staff, very friendly! Always a lot of fun!
We love love Bravo!!!! The staff is extremely nice... the competition is very organized... and they made a venue that we typically don\'t care for, enjoyable... You can\'t go wrong with Bravo.... We will continue to support and attend Bravo each and every year!
I had the opportunity to talk with the owner and one of the directors. This company is ran by very great people focused on doing what is right for the kids involved! We have a small studio and are always treated like our kids matter to them!! This is the best ran competition we attend!! The awards ceremony is not rushed through and very clear!! It\'s great to actually hear how your child did!! I also love that they choose a nice venue, most companies tend to take the cheap options, which leaves you feeling like you wasted money! I really can\'t say enough good about Bravo!
Is it possible to give 100 stars? This competition is by far superior to all others we have ever attended. Our studio is small compared to most, but every time we attend Bravo! we are treated with the same excitement as those that bring 100 dances! The staff is professional, theatrical, and all over fun! They make every dancer, parent, and teacher feel important! Bravo! will always be a part of our dance family and we can\'t wait to attend Nationals! Brendan, Robert, Luke, Amy, Katie, Aubrey, etc...the best ever!
Details! – lights, camera, action - excitement! Best announcer EVER! Fantastic atmosphere: sound system (wow!), professional lighting (including dimming of the lights when dancers enter and exit the stage). Kind – every staff member was patient and kind. We especially appreciate the stage manager who kept the wings clear!!! Upcoming dancers are held offstage in a queue. Awards – virtually no delay for awards (thank you!). The announcer took the time to clearly announce and acknowledge each piece. Closing time – quick check out, scores with breakdown from each judge for each portion of the score and a DVD of all pieces with judge’s comments (same day!). We loved this weekend—Kudos to the entire Bravo staff!
This competition is simply a class act !! My dancers start asking in the summer when Bravo will be? It has become the favorite ! Dancers come home comparing what compliment Meredith gave them. Parents remark on how nice it is that she remembers them by name! Casa is another face looked for each year. His enthusiasm and encouraging nature with the kids is just what this industry needs. I am a small but growing studio . I don\'t have Elite dancers but we are treated as if we come in with dozens of them . My kids leave on fire and ready to work ! Cant imagine this one not being our biggest competition every year. The staff just works double time to make it amazing!!!
We absolutely love this competition! Our competition season would not be complete without BravO! The staff is so kind to all dancers...They help them feel at ease and ready to perform. The judges\' comnents give great critiques combined with positive encouragement. The directors run a first-class event!
Our studio LOVES BravO! In fact, we were unable to attend our usual May Minneapolis regional, so we took the trip down to Ames, Iowa this weekend. The BravO! Staff is hands down the best in the business. The competition is always organized and tends to run ahead of schedule - which we love. The backstage staff always is full of energy and ready to pump the kids up before their performance. They are also flexible and accommodating of quick hair and costume changes. Judging seems fair and the critiques have always been helpful in the past. I can\'t imagine a year without going to BravO!
I can\'t speak highly enough of the Bravo Dance Competiton. We are currently in Memphis competiting. Rebecca the young woman up front was so polite and helpful upon arrival. She introduced herself and let us know all of the information we needed to know. Second, when I took my daughter backstage for her solo the staff was very polite and friendly. Super supportive of my daughter and her obvious nervous face. They put her at ease and she was ready for the stage. Jay Jay was great with my daughter and she mentioned that to me afterwards. Third, Meredith Pennington the competition directors was very professional and her style of presenting awards was very good. She didn\'t rush and made each act feel Important. Her positive vibes spilled over into the auditorium. I\'ve never seen a more organized Competiton. If I could give them 10 Stars I would! Great job!
There are only three types of awards. High Gold, Elite High Gold and Platinum which is fine except the judges for the 2015/2016 circut do not know how to judge. Any tap or hip hop number was not judged corectly and they favored Jazz numbers for over alls even if they didn\'t deserve it. Multiple times i watched as AMAZING dances get Elite High Golds while mediocre dances should have got a High Gold got Platnums instead, these dances also \"out scored\" others that were far supirior.
Bravo is a favorite of our studio. The owner and director is hands on and can be seen all over the place during comp weeks always making himself and/or staff available. Bravo\'s staff is awesome. They are fun and engage the kids and make for a great weekend. At the same time they are all professional, approachable, and never once seem tired or annoyed with the extremely long days. The competition its self runs smoothly and is curated by one of the best MC\'s in the competition circuit. Awards are good quality and the awards show are a ton of fun, fair, and feel like a real event. lastly, the judges are fair and diverse in their backgrounds. Their feedback is thoughtful & kind but they are unafraid to offer up their opinion as to what can help our routines & dancers kick it up to the next level. I have always appreciated the judges feedback I get from the judges Bravo brings in. Overall Bravo is a well run dance competition that is a staple for our studio and should be for yours as well. Everyone at Bravo clearly has a passion for delivering amazing events and it shows year after year.
Bravo! is our favorite competition of the season. The staff is so friendly and professional - they are well organized and we always have a great time!
Once again, our studio had a great experience this past weekend at the BravO! Phoenix competition! The director, Meredith, & the backstage staff were so well organized, professional & patient with our several costume changes. We love the new logo, backdrops, lighting & sound system that BRAVO! has. We also really appreciate the teacher VIP seating & complimentary snacks. The excitement & positivity from the BRAVO! staff was wonderful towards all studios, dancers & families. It was so nice how they recognized teachers & parents at the awards ceremonies! We really appreciate getting the critiques & score sheets right away at the end of the weekend which helps us apply corrections ASAP in our classes. We will definitely return again next season!! We absolutely, highly recommend BRAVO!!!
the announcer was amazing but they started packing up way before the competition was done which was very annoying because we couldn\'t take pictures after our solos behind the screen. also dance pics took all solo pictures at a side angle which made some of our pictures really bad. the judges were ok they definitely liked lyrical more. awards were very long and they weren\'t very fun. they only lets the dancers have fun and be silly onstage for 1 song where at other competitions are like 3. they also have favorite studios. I enjoyed this competition but I don\'t know if we will be coming back.
Our studio had a great experience this past weekend at the BravO! Minneapolis early competition. The director and staff were so patient and flexible with our numerous quick costume changes. As a teacher I really appreciated the VIP seating and complimentary snacks. Loved the excitement and positivity from the staff throughout the weekend. Great job!
Our first time at BravO after 6 years of competing. Love this comp! Excellent and knowledgable staff, announcer is great and decorations/ boutique are top notch. Solos ran smooth and ahead of schedule. Everything was perfect!
We\'ve been attending Bravo for years and always find them organized and professional. Love the new logo and backdrops. The staff is awesome always upbeat and excited for the weekend. Loved the judges critiques. They gave awesome feedback to all of our dancers from the young and inexperienced to the most advanced. They were very detailed and thorough and didn\'t just gloss over corrections which I found super helpful. So far the best panel of judges critiques we\'ve had yet !!!
Attended Bravo this weekend for our studio for the second year and again we were extremely pleased with the staff and event. The Bravo staff is so sweet and fun to work with, and they make each dancer feel so special. As a studio director, I found them organized, accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Looking forward to attending next year.
We attended yet another year at Brav0! Competition this weekend and LOVED it as always! I would like to tell you a few things of why we love it:) The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had trouble with registration this season and they were very patient and willing to help. You get the critiques and score sheets right away at the end of the weekend, where many places now upload them but you have to wait days to get them which makes it difficult when you have competitions every weekend and limited time to review and try to apply the corrections. We also love how the competition itself has the production type of feel. They dim the lights before each section and make announcements. Great lighting and sound. The emcee is vibrant and well spoken. The music was played at a great volume where some places I feel they keep it too low. They take your cell number when you check in and tehy text you if they are running ahead. Which I shoudl mention they were ahead all weekend, which was lovely! Overall I would highly recommend them. We will return yet again next season!!
We had a blast this past weekend at Bravo!!! From the second we arrived, the staff was so energetic and positive! That continued throughout the entire weekend and our dancers really enjoyed it! We hadn\'t been in a few years as it didn\'t work into our schedule, but we will make sure it is on our calendar again for next season. Our staff, our parents, and our dancers all had a great weekend and we really appreciated the entire staff from Bravo making it a fun experience!
The venue and staff were amazing. They were friendly, and extremely helpful to all us prop dads backstage....which makes a world of difference for us. I hope our studio comes back to this venue regularly.
My studio attended Bravo for the first time and we loved it! I especially loved the way the back stage area was so organized. No dancers or teachers sitting in the wings. It was very easy for the dancers to get on and off stage. I think it was great that the dances were lined up to go onstage. Very organized. Judging was spot on! Awards were great too! The staff was very helpful and the entire competition went above and beyond to accommodate! Thank you for a great competition!
We LOVE Bravo! We make it a priority to attend each year with our team of 100+ dancers and routines. Brendan and his staff are friendly and professional. The competition runs as scheduled (if not slightly early on occasion - which we like during long competition weekends) and the staff do a wonderful job of interacting with the kids and making ALL dancers feel special. I cannot say enough great things about this event ; I highly recommend it!
This was our second year doing this competition. We absolutely loved the staff, and format for the competition. I would highly recommend!
Second year attending, though under different circumstances, and second 5-star rating. Went without a studio this year and so I dealt with the staff directly. All were gracious, helpful, and enthusiastic. This was especially important to me since I hadn\'t done one on my own before! Meredith was very patient with explaining where we had to go and what we had to do with regard to music and backstage procedures. When I approached later in the day about where to get my daughter\'s critiques , she remembered her by name from awards - this kind of attention to detail really makes you feel welcome. The adjudications were straightforward and the special awards were well-explained. Critiques were excellent - all three judges gave a steady stream of very specific corrections/suggestions and appropriate feedback. Overall, a great experience.
Great competition. We have attended this competition for the last few years as well as nationals. Everyone was so awesome to work with through Bravo. It is my favorite of all the competitions we attend. They even went out of their way when my daughter misplaced her metals to help us get her the metals she earned. The rapid response from them was above and beyond.
We have always had a great experience competing at Bravo. Very fair scores and always good advice/reviews from judges comments. One of our favorite comps of the year.
I cannot say enough great things about this competition! Not only is it extremely organized but I was floored with how genuinely friendly the entire staff is. It was our first time doing their competition last February and I intend to go back. I recommend this comp to everyone! Meredith who is one of the directors actually took the time to sit with me during the competition and get to know me as a director. Out of all the competition I have been to over the last 20+ years, no competition has made me feel so appreciated!! BRAVO to Bravo!! You get 5 stars in my book! :)
I really wanted my students to have a great experience at Bravo based on the reviews I read, so we went to the but we were disappointed. Among other things in my opinion they did not give me constructive comments and feedback that I can use. Will not be returning.
Loved BravO! the second year just as much as the first, maybe even more. They have their stuff together and run an amazing show. They are also very accommodating - one of our little boys had his first holy communion moved to the same Saturday of the competition and they made sure his routine went on Sunday so he could make it. The announcer is amazing and accidentally called one of my 3 year olds with a unique name Sarah instead of her name which upset her and she insisted on telling him after her number that she wasn\'t Sarah (3 year olds, right? Lol) and he not only tolerated this interruption, he apologized to her over the microphone and pronounced her name the right way. Unbelievably sweet of him. Love these guys and will continue to go back again and again.
We have donever this competition the past couple of years and have always had a great time. Everything is awesome, the MC/announcer, the staff, judges, everything. Love the critiques, very helpful.
We have only been to one BRAVO Competition so far. I felt that the comp was quite fair and organized. I was pleased with the judging and the staff was quite kind. I would enjoy the opportunity to compete with BRAVO again.
Our experience with Bravo last year was amazing! The girls were all made to feel like stars. I look forward to once again being at Bravo in Memphis for 2016 competition!
Great competition!Very organized and always a good time!
Review Has Been Removed - "Terms of Use Violation"
One of the best! Always super professional. The judges seem like they are having fun, even Sunday night at 9pm! They tend to give very good feedback on dances and are kind in their criticisms
our 2nd fav competition
this is a great competition. can\'t wait to go back!
Well run and always fun! My dancers enjoy their time at Bravo.
One of my favorite comps that my girls have attended several times. Regional as well as national. Well organized, high energy, the kids love it too. Fair pricing and my favorite is the scholarship toward entry fees the first place overall winner receives for the next season.
Fantastic experience. Well run, fair and lots of fun!
Well run, nice competition
We love this competition! Extremely well run, organized, and a helpful backstage crew. In our experience the judges have given quality critiques and feedback that have continued to help our dancers grow as artists! We are excited to return again this spring!
I love this competition!! I\'ve went to Athens for two years going on three! This past year, I was extremely sick (throwing up between every dance and felling near to death) and the staff was amazing! They constantly comforted me and made sure I was okay. The backstage manager for Athens was the best... Shout out to you, backstage manager at Athens 2015 because I forgot his name, he would run and get me cold bottles of water and made sure I was able to dance. The staff if great and I love their quality.. Not really bias either! I wish I could give the staff a rate of 6, but I unfortunately cannot.
We attended Bravo for the 2nd time this season and it was fantastic. The staff is phenomenal. They communicate with our studio owners. They do not discount smaller studios that don\'t bring in the cash that the huge ones do. Judging is fair and consistent. The competition runs on time. I just can\'t say enough good things about Bravo. We are really looking forward to attending next year!
We attended Bravo! Regionals and Nationals. I can\'t say it enough, the entire staff is AMAZING! Our kids and parents felt special every single day! It is a class act and feels like a true theatrical production. Every dancer feels special and the fact the staff takes the time to learn everyone\'s name impresses me! WE LOVE THIS COMPETITION and will attend every year! We even have a Bravo! wall!
Went to BravO! for the first time this year and it was fantastic! The staff truly cared about the dancers and helped try to make it a stress-free, fun environment. All of our dancers and parents loved it too!
BravO! has by far been my favorite competition to take my studio to. The director and his employees really go out of their way! It will be on our list for many year to come. My studio needs a 3 level competition and Bravo! is by far the best. Love their Nationals as well. Close proximity but allows for a Nationals feel without the major traveling. Meredith does an amazing job at Nationals! Brendan is totally out there for studios to see. We appreciate it. I truly enjoy when they know me by name. Not many can say that! We love Bravo!
This was my favorite competition I have ever been to! Everybody had a fair chance to win something and everything was super organized! The DJ was also amazing!
Sensational!!!
Love Bravo Competition. They truly care about the kids and parents.
Awesome competition
Bravo! Has been the nicest and most helpful competition my studio has been too! I recommend this competition to everyone! A wonderful staff and producer!
BRAVO is the Best Competition out there!... Professional staff, experienced judges, and the most caring people I have ever met!!... I give them the highest rating!!!
BEST COMPITETION OUT THERE! The staff is so great, especially Meredith and Casa! They make back stage and awards so much fun! I can\'t wait to go back next year!
Just got back from another amazing time at BravO! dance competition! It doesn\'t matter if we are at our home regionals or at nationals in Ames, Iowa, one thing is for sure: WE LOVE BRAVO! Brendan does an amazing job of finding the most positive staff around. We love being back stage as the atmosphere is calming, organized and very positive. The judges always seem to give age appropriate critiques that not only compliment and benefits the dancers, but also the teachers and studio owner. During nationals, we love how fun this event is. We make new friends with studios we typically do not compete against, and the truth is, we really are friends! We cheer on each other\'s studios and leave feeling inspired by the talent we see on stage. With special events such as the Title Competition, Master Classes, the BBQ, and the Showcase, this nationals experience is one that is at the top of our list! The title competition and showcase really feel more like a show rather than a competition. The only suggestions I would give for nationals would be that awards tended to run a little long and even though the talent was amazing, I\'d like to see more range of awards given. This entire company runs by the philosophy that the kids come first. I know our kids would be devastated if we didn\'t have BravO! on our schedule. We have been attending for the last 9 years and plan to continue to attend as long as we can!
This competition sets the bar for others. The amazing MC makes the atmosphere incredibly hype. I\'ve not experienced another mc like him at any other competition. The lights and special effects are very cool. Most of all, the staff and judges are very professional and friendly. It\'s very organized and classy at both regional and national level. The only possible negative I see is that they seem to be overly generous with platinum awards. Overall. Bravo! is a super positive experience!
Best Nationals anywhere! This is run for the dancers!! It is well organized and run, tremendously friendly staff, and have so much to offer all the dancers (besides great awards) and families with out making the parents feel like a cash machine. Free master classes, an amazing BBQ with food, entertainment, drinks. Way to complete the comp season on a high note, thanks BravO!
Loved the announcer! Very well run comp. We always enjoy this one.
If you are looking for a competition to attend I would say BravO! National Dance & Talent. We have been attending now for 4 seasons. The vibe is so cool and positive, our dancers have a blast. The awards ceremonies are perfect. The MC is fantastic...our dancers and parents are always entertained, and the owner/directors back stage never miss a beat and ALWAYS have open arms. BravO! should be a competition you attend next season. We give BravO! a standing O!vation.
This is one of the best run competitions out there! They are always on or ahead of schedule. The back stage crew is amazing, and had my students relaxed and ready for stage. Our judges critiques were informative and really thought out. Also their award ceremony really makes sense, my parents knew what was going on the entire weekend!! This competition is run with the dancers in mind. We LOVE Bravo!
Dressing rooms cramped, don\'t like the venue. Competition is well run and critiques from judges are thorough, though.
Great competition the kids had so much fun!! professional owners and employees. Judging was professional and awards sessions were awesome!! Definitely recommend.
Bravo is one of the best in biz! Staff is awesome and they make the event a blast for the kids. Scoring and judging is very fair and unbiased. I would highly recommend them. We are a first year studio and Bravo and Spotlight Dance Cup were both incredible while Starpower was a huge let down. Very impressed and you will be too if you bring your studio to this one.
Our studio has attended BravO! for about 5 years and we always have a fantastic weekend! Bravo is professionally run, yet has a very family feel. The staff is warm and helpful. The judges are kind and positive and the scoring/awards are CLEAR and ORGANIZED! We always feel great when we leave BravO! My favorite competition by far:)
my favorite competition ever i totally recommend
A well-run production runs on time - not 2 hours ahead or behind. As you allow saving of seats please announce outside of the seating area what is going on - lunch break, competition resuming, etc. - so performances aren\'t missed.
Had a great time at Bravo!! They are top notch!
This comp was very well managed.. They kept us ahead of schedule the whole weekend and were very accommodating to quick changes. The stage managers created such a fun environment and the staff was super friendly. I\'ve been to many of their events since I was little and it continues to be my favorite comp year after year!
Good Competition, but alot of studios put their groups and solos at a lower bracket when they should be in a higher bracket. The organizers should speak up and tell the studios owners this. Also, the lady announcer voice is a lot to take. Especially after 6 award ceremonies, she make the winners of high gold seem like they weren\'t good enough. Announcers need to keep the tone uplifted no matter what the score is. The competition is organized and runs smoothly.
We like Bravo! You run such a great competition and each year it is run well, goes ahead of schedule and is very organized. We went to the smaller one you had this year in Mpls, the venue wasn\'t great, but that was really the only complaint.
We recently attended a BravO regional independent of our studio and I cannot give a more positive review! The moment we stepped into the venue and had the pleasure of meeting the BravO staff, I knew we were in great hands – even though we were navigating our way without our studio. Both of my children (teen daughter and junior son) discussed how much they enjoyed the entire event as well – which is ultimately more important than my view as a parent. We all appreciated the kindness and organization of everyone we met, the quality of the stage and awards, the large range of merchandise available for purchase, and the kids truly felt quite comfortable backstage on their own. The announcer kept the energy level high, and they ran ahead of schedule - which was beneficial on a Friday evening with a large amount of numbers. The awards ceremony was truly enjoyable as well. And not just because my kids had the honor of being called forward – but because it was understandable, energetic, encouraging of all, and timed well. The audio and video feedback from the judges on the provided DVD was both informative and supportive, and the best we have received this season so far. I cannot thank Meredith, Casa, John, and the rest of the staff enough for their personal dedication. We are really looking forward to attending regionals next year!
We attended the early Minneapolis BravO! Regional for the first time (we usually go to the May regional.) Even though it was early in the season, BravO! had their stuff together. The schedule made sense (they started AFTER school on Friday, ran ahead of schedule so the junior soloists got home at a decent time even though the schedule said it might be later, etc.) The BravO! staff keeps the show running, making sure there are acts on stage at all times, etc. They SCHEDULE lunch and dinner breaks so we know what to expect instead of just springing random 20 minute breaks on our acts that are already waiting back stage. Every staff member knows what is going on, can answer your questions and does it with a wonderfully respectful attitude. Then there is Rob...My students cannot wait to hear what Rob is going to say as he introduces our routines...they literally talk about it in October when they hear their music for the first time. We have been to 3 competitions this spring. BravO! is by far the best we have gone to. Thanks BravO! for a wonderful weekend!! We can\'t wait for to try your Nationals this summer!!
What a classy, well run competition this was! I\'ve been at quite a few of these in the years my daughter has danced, and this one was head & shoulders above the rest. Judges smiled & made eye contact with the girls, showed enthusiasm & a genuine interest in the dances-- one even shimmied along in her chair! Loved it! The recognition & respect given to the teachers during awards was something I\'ve not seen done before that I loved. The emcee explaining to the kids about not taking the scoring to heart if they didn\'t do as well as they thought they should was also a great thing I\'ve never seen done before that I appreciated. As a parent, this is the first competition I\'ve walked away from where I felt true joy & inspiration about having my daughter in dance. Thank you for running such a top notch competition, BravO. I wish they all were this way!
Well run and I appreciate the pace running ahead! I always wish the schedule would come out earlier but that seems to be all competitions MO.
The venue was small so seating was difficult but BravO runs a class act!!!!!
Our favorite weekend of the year... BravO! is an amazing event for everyone to attend because the schedule always runs ahead of time, the staff backstage is always so accommodating to every request, the awards ceremonies give everyone a chance to feel special, and the judges give enlightening critiques for the students and teachers to review after the weekend. Definitely our choice for Nationals!
BravO is one of the most professional competitions I have attended. The staff makes the difference between average and excellent competitions and BravO\'s staff makes it an excellent weekend for everyone. The variety of awards, venue, and staff combined to make a great weekend for our company. Bravo to BravO!
Had a great time this weekend! Very exciting atmosphere-the emcee does a creative, \"wrestling style\" introduction for every number, the only competition I\'ve ever attended that dimmed lights between numbers, had all kinds of go-gos flashing around the auditorium. The staff was probably the friendliest I\'ve ever encountered at a competition! I will say I was surprised at the judging as when I was competing Bravo was known to judge hard and give out high silvers when necessary - this weekend NOTHING less than a high gold was awarded, even when a gold was clearly the proper adjudication for numbers. The majority of ajudications was an elite high gold, which I feel is misleading when speaking for my own dances alone I know they should not have been on the higher end of a high gold. They were sparse with platinums, though, which I did appreciate. The only other thing I wasn\'t wild about was the fact that senior solos were the last category on Saturday night, awards at 11pm - and SENIOR groups opened the competition at 7am Sunday morning. When awards run until midnight, some of these girls have a while to drive to the venue - I\'m not sure why they didn\'t at least open with teen groups (teen groups were later in the morning) to better ensure that all competitors were rested. I have to say that Bravo was the first competition I\'ve ever experienced that had seniors competing so early in the morning. However, overall we had a great experience and I\'m positive we\'ll be back. Thank you!
If I could give this competition 1000 stars I would! ALWAYS professional, polite, on time, and what a great theatrical production! My kids and parents LOVE this competition as they always feel like part of a Broadway show! No matter what the scores, my kids feel like it is fair! We are a small studio from a small town and our kids always feel just as important as the studio bringing 100 routines! Thank you Bravo for ALWAYS being a class act! We can\'t wait until Nationals!
What a great experience. The staff, from the ladies at the merchandise table right to the director were fantastic. They were friendly, they answered my questions, they thanked us for being there - excellent service. They ran early all weekend. The backstage was well organized and smooth. Awards were not drug out. Judging was fair, critiques were mostly ok (2 out of 3 - one didn\'t say much and was hard to hear) -overall, a fun event. We will be attending a 2nd Bravo regional this year, we\'re excited!
The staff was nice, but definitely a below par competition. hours too late, lots of out of order and sometimes running very early and sometimes very late this year. Low production values in my opinion. Will not be attending again.
W O W! What a fantastic weekend at BravO! The staff are just the best and the competition is run with professionalism and the upmost respect for the work that these dancers put into their performances! The emcee is so energetic and takes time to say something personal as each dancer takes the stage- no two intros are the same! As they leave the stage, he even says something about their performance. Meredith was great with each and every awards ceremony, even until almost midnight with a case of laryngitis. That is dedication! Kylei (I\'m not sure how she spells her name) at the merchandise table was so personable and very nice to me and my daughter. All to often the person selling the merchandise gets easily frustrated with the large crowds...not her! She was smiling the whole time, even late at night when we all wanted to go home. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure that the dancers (and parents) had a positive experience. Last, but certainly not least, Rose (also suffering with laryngitis) was such a trooper working the photo/video station. She was so cordial and professional. Without a doubt, I will return to BravO! with my daughter in the future. Oh, and most of the weekend they were running ahead of schedule, which they take time to note on social media for those people that aren\'t at the venue for the duration. All around a 5-star experience!
First time at a Bravo competition and we are hooked from the first award ceremony. You are definitely not a just another number here! Staff was very social and easily accessible. I felt like I could have been a member of their family!! Prices to get medallions were VERY reasonable so I could get something for each of my daughters dances! Well done!
Great Comp! Friendly, funny, entertaining but most of all, very supportive staff!!!!! Great Judges!!!!!!! Scoring was spot on, it was so refreshing to see so many awards going to truly amazing routines. Clean technic and creative choreography received the recognition! Every dance level was made to feel important. Several teachers came to me to ask question because they were new to comps and everyone was enjoying the event. Can\'t wait to see you next year. The Judges Cretique were VERY helpful!
We attended this past weekend for the 2nd year in a row. We loved it. The event ran ahead of schedule which was awesome! The staff was wonderful and very upbeat the entire weekend!! Ms. Meredith was very supportive and encouraging to all of the dancers during the awards ceremonies. I would highly recommend this competition!! It was a very positive experience and I wish I could give it more stars!! We are already looking forward to next year!!
Nice competition. Was running about an hour early by the middle of Day 1, but announcements were made regarding adjusted times at awards ceremonies. Judging appeared consistent, for the most part. Enjoyed having each judge explain why they awarded their special awards. Beautiful venue, though the dressing room situation was a bit challenging. MC got the kids excited at the beginning of each awards ceremony. Photography was good, though on the pricier side for still images. Dancers and parents we met from other studios were gracious. My dancer came away from the day with a positive experience.
What a great experience for our dancers! Our studio is new to this competition and we all loved it. Fair judging, quick awards, and professional staff. Hope we attend next year.
We loved Bravo Dance Competition. It was uplifting, fun and ran early most of the day. My students had a great time. Judges were fair, award ceremonies were not too long and I could understand the announcer. Usually they speak so quickly that you can\'t understand what they\'re saying. :) The other studios were friendly and I have never gone to a competition where other teachers congratulated other teachers. It was awesome. The staff was very helpful and kind. The only negative comment I have is that the phtographer should have been in the center instead of to the side where some shots were not the best angle. Other than that, we can\'t wait to go back. ps. The judges comments were so kind, they always had a nice thing to say, even if it was just \"you have a beautiful smile\" :) Loved it!!!
Great competition! Excellent staff, good judging. Critiques a bit lacking in constructive feedback. Well organized and they skipped breaks even though running ahead which meant showing up an hour early wasn\'t early which can really mess with your day. The announcer really hyped up the kids before they went on stage which was kind of fun.
This competition ran on time (or ahead), staff were all very helpful and answered all our questions, both prior to and during the competition weekend. As a new studio going to our first competition, I can report we had a great time at BravO!
This is our second year at Bravo and loved that they had a judge that really knew how to judge tap! Very rewarding for out tappers!
Our studio has been going to many competitions over the past 6 years. This year we tried BRAVO! They are extremely professional, they run ahead of schedule, and keep a positive atmosphere! We will for sure return next year. The staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful. The announcer is just awesome! Thanks BRAVO!
This was are studio first year with BravO and we loved this competition and its staff.
Love Bravo! Pros - Fun announcer, ran on time, and the staff is GREAT! Cons - Loong days/nights and the dressing room situation was no good. Really like this comp and will go back!
Our studio had a wonderful experience at BRAVO dance competition! Their staff was very friendly, approachable and easy to work with as we had several dancers with quick changes. The atmosphere at BRAVO was filled with positive energy & excitement for all dancers/studios. The judging and awards were fair. The award ceremonies were fun & not too drawn out or long. We will definitely come back to BRAVO!
FEELS LIKE ONLY BIG STUDIOS WIN
Excellent competition!!! The staff were friendly and super nice!! The girls had so much fun!! Great competition and very positive! Loved it!
The competition was the best I ever attended out of maybe 100. The staff was very professional (men dressed in sport coats and ties) and very attentive to all activities. The announcer is by far the best in the business and all 3 days completed ahead of schedule. Bravo to Bravo, I only wish all competitions were ran so efficiently. Five stars in all areas. Keep up the good work.
Always a wonderful experience. Great staff! Fun announcer.
We really enjoyed this competition!! My daughter had a great time!!
A super fun competition! Loved the set up of breaks for > awards and the totally professional announcer. Appreciated the extra awards. The entertainment award was especially smart! Good technique is something to strive for always, but it isn\'t the most technically magnificent dances that are the money makers...its the ability to tell a story that the audience feels a part of. Entertainment is what earns money. I was pleased to see you reward that. I also liked it that you > recognized great costuming! I just watch a competition where one group only wore leos and boys crew socks! Ugh! How\'d you like to be a Dad in that competition (TMI). > > Much thought went into your competition, and it really showed. > Thanks for coming to San Antonio. > >
LOVED IT! Great energy. Great judge comments! Very family friendly. Great announcer, he announced each act with energy and helped the kids get excited. Only improvement would be it needed more dressing rooms at venue and wish duets got 2 awards for overalls (medal).
We very much enjoyed our experience at Bravo. It was very well run, efficient, and a friendly competition. The announcer was great. He made each act feel special and welcome. Thank you for a terrific experience.
BravO! of Memphis was easily the best competition we have ever attended. The directors went out of their way to make sure everyone had a wonderful experience (helping load props from trailers, finding lost items, giving people personal attention, and always asking if there was something they could do). It was a very stress-free environment, smooth running, and overall very happy experience. We usually do not do national competitions, but if the calendar allows, we will definitely consider BravO!\'s national competition! The judging was spot on, full of helpful critique, and judges are very knowledgable! The awards were fun and swift! We highly recommend all levels of dance groups attend! God Bless!!!
Highly recommend BravO! This past weekend in Memphis was by far one of the best competitions I\'ve attended. Not only did I love how organized and entertaining the competition was, the competition staff members were fantastic! Everyone from the director to the backstage coordinator was of the upmost professionalism and were constantly striving to ensure studio owners, teachers, parents and dancers were having the best competition experience possible. Our dancers loved every minute of it. Thank you BravO! for hosting such a wonderful weekend. We can\'t wait to come back next year!
We end our season with BravO every year! BravO is a weekend full of inspiration and fun for our dancers! They enjoy every minute of the weekend! The scoring is always spot on, awards ceremonies are so exciting, the dancers always come off stage feeling incredible. Brendan, the director, will go out of his way to make sure everyone is happy, and truly takes pride in his events. We look forward to BravO year after year!
This competition was, by far THE BEST competition I have attended! It was very apparent the staff\'s goal was to make it a positive experience for ALL dancers!! They were professional and still yet lots of fun! They actually took the time to make connections with us!!! All of this and the judging was fair too! I would definitely recommend this competition to any studio. And I would look forward to coming back next year!!!
Runs on time, fair judging, even if we expected all platinum from how other competitions were judged, the scoring and awards were fair across the board.
Very positive experience all around!! Organized & professional!! The judges are fair & give good feedback!!
Fun competition and very friendly staff! The days were too long. We will definitely go back.

Awesome competition with very professional staff! Everything always runs smoothly and we love going every year!
BravO! Is the most professional and well ran dance competition we have ever attended. All organizers and staff are polite, knowledgeable and professional. Everyone goes above and beyond to make this competition a positive experience for the dancers. They treat all studios whether large or small, with the same professionalism and always make time to discuss any issues and find solutions. It is because of BravO!’s high standards that our dance group has travelled the 550km from Canada to Minneapolis for the past 3 years. I highly recommend this competition to all studios.
