Very young competition. Still learning. But not knowing your own staff and what they are doing, hmmm. A female was recording from audience, I asked the staff to tell her to stop, no one could figure out who she was til the owners husband approached her, come to find out it was a staff member. Judges made some weird comments during specials "I watched some of the performance" some, only some? "She didn't do much..." What her solo was 3 mins and acro, she didn't do much ... Long wait time from announcing dancers name to starting music. Awards they messed up multiple times on placements and divisions. Judges critiques "opposite of good" was actually said... Overall one judge had good feedback and offered actual things to take back to studio to work on
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at our event didn’t meet your expectations. We always aim to create a professional, organized, and respectful environment for all dancers, families, and staff. All of our staff do wear a lanyard with their name and title but in a dark theatre that may be harder to see. The staff member you were referring to is a freelance media content creator. Regarding the judges' comments and critiques, we understand how important constructive feedback is to dancers’ growth, and we are continually working with our judges to maintain high standards of professionalism, consistency and age appropriateness. Thank you again, your honest feedback will help us to improve. We are committed to making our events better with each season, and feedback like yours plays a valuable role in that process.
