TTB has gone downhill yet again and is back to how it was prior to 2017. The way that two studios were favored despite all studios in attendance being excellent was ridiculous. Listening to judges feedback was absurd. One woman in a mask and you can’t hear half of what she says, another woman only correcting in a very derogatory way offering nothing positive and the other sticking with the “point your feet” standards and saying in every single dance to “perform to the back of radio city music hall” is certainly not going to help anyone. Offer some real feedback! The emcee was boring. The backstage staff was rude. The man who used to run awards and would talk to the kids and be engaging is nowhere to be found. Very disappointed and will never return. Have already told 10 studio friend owners about the lack of professionalism at this “new TTB”

Surprised to see any bad reviews for this comp. It’s THE BEST!!! We love TTB and can’t wait for this season!

First time to TTB. Hopefully the last. I did like the person announcing the awards. He was fun and literally the only good thing about the competition. Everything else was disappointing. I saw some very undeserving 1st places and very few platinums given out where they should have been. So many other better competitions out there IMO.

A current review: April 2022 Toms River NJ Absolutely terrible. I have never been to a competition before where the judges were never announced, no backgrounds given, no resumes…nothing. They could have been anyone from anywhere. No credentials listed at all. There were multiple people filming in the audience. They were filming EVERY SINGLE DANCE. The competition did nothing about it despite it saying in the rules and program and website that this will result in disqualification. It was brought to the competitions attention multiple times by multiple studios and they did nothing about it at all. Now videos are out of other people’s children. Have a massive problem with that. More golds given than I have ever seen given to some wonderful performances. Very discouraging. One studio was winning everything despite their lack of originality in choreography, costuming etc…they were somehow designated the studio of the weekend and no other studios had a chance. The venue was disgusting with two working toilets and it was filthy. Backstage crew was rude and allowed teachers backstage who were loud and yelling. Very thankful that we only had to attend one of the two days. Truly a bad experience.

The negative reviews for this competition are dated and I wanted to add a review since this competition is noe under new ownership and has been completely revamped. I attended 2 regionals this year with my daughter and had a very positive experience. The staff was fun and approachable and accommodated our quick changes. The awards were fun for the kids and we had a great experience. The only drawback was one locations we attended was lacking in ample parking and seating.

jessiesgirls had such an amazing time Joel & his staff made it unforgettable with the throwing things out to the students the parents on stage dance off PLEASE don't loose that fun..we will be sure to attend year after year....
